<p>Job Title: PLC Programmer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Actalent is seeking an experienced Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) Programmer. As a PLC Programmer, you will write PLC programs for automation equipment and install these programs alongside a Technician. You will also be responsible for testing system efficiency as required. Success in this role requires a sound knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles, fault-finding skills, and the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Write and install PLC programs for automation equipment. </li><li>Test system efficiency and troubleshoot issues as needed. </li><li>Assist the maintenance department with preventative maintenance duties. </li><li>Work with the engineering team on process improvement initiatives. </li><li>Implement projects and ensure their successful completion. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>3-5 years of PLC programming experience. </li><li>Ability to program from scratch. </li><li>Mechanical and electrical PLC troubleshooting experience. </li><li>Strong troubleshooting and programming skills. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Self-sufficient as the only PLC programmer at the plant. </li><li>Visible to the floor and other departments, requiring excellent communication and collaboration skills. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The position is based in a smaller plant environment, requiring the ability to walk up stairs and stand on the floor for extended periods. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, with potential adjustments of 30 minutes earlier or later.
