<p>The Ohio Department of Development is looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative Senior Financial Analyst to support our Finance Division, particularly as it related to purchasing and accounts payable roles. If you're passionate about public service and thrive in a fast-paced, supportive environment, we invite you to bring your talents to a team that makes a real difference across the state.</p> <p>What you'll be doing:</p> <ul> <li>Engage as an integral part of Development's procurement process, analyzing purchasing requests to recommend the appropriate purchasing strategy </li><li>Collaborate with program and legal teams throughout the purchasing cycle to advance the mission of the Department of Development, helping to solicit bids and evaluate proposals </li><li>Work with vendors to complete contracts, arrange the proper supporting documentation to ensure accurate and timely payment </li><li>Facilitate agency wide communications on procurement projects for maximum transparency and efficiency </li><li>Complete purchases as the division P-Card holder and reconcile purchases to the banking system </li><li>Assist in updating and recommend changes in fiscal or purchasing processes </li><li>Train agency staff on fiscal policies and procedures </li></ul> <p>42 months experience or 42 months training in accounting and/or finance to include an advanced level of experience in spreadsheet software.</p> <ul> <li>Or completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, accounting, finance or related field; 18 months experience or 18 months training in accounting and/or finance to include an advanced level of experience in spreadsheet software. </li><li>Or completion of graduate core program in business administration, accounting, finance or related field; 6 months experience or 6 months training in accounting and/or finance to include an advanced level of experience in spreadsheet software. </li><li>Or 12 months experience as Financial Analyst, 66562. </li><li>Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above. NOTE: Successful completion of the Fiscal Academy may be substituted for 4 months of required accounting/fiscal experience referenced in this portion of the minimum qualifications. </li></ul>
