<p>School of Education Teaching and Leadership department is seeking a part-time instructor who can teach DAP 251 Hip Hop Dance (1 credit).</p> <p>This course will introduce students to Hip Hop dance as an aspect of Hip Hop culture along with the contextual socio-political origins, elements, and major techniques that constitute the dance form.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in a relevant field (Dance, Physical Education) preferred but professional experience will be considered. </li></ul> <p>Job Specific Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Substantial experience in the discipline. </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Developing and/or updating a class syllabus. </li><li>Ordering the appropriate books and materials in advance of the class start date. </li><li>Preparation of lectures, projects or other student assignments. </li><li>Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours. </li><li>Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the course. </li><li>Meeting all designated class periods. If you are unable to meet your class due to illness or emergency, you should exercise your best effort to reschedule the class or to obtain a substitute. You must also notify the department chair of your absence and of your plan to cover the class. </li><li>Submitting completed mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations. </li><li>Grading student assignments and exams in timely manner. </li><li>Providing departmentally sanctioned forms for completed student evaluations. </li><li>Participating in departmental meetings or workshops. </li><li>Provide student proficiency data for accrediting bodies (if required) </li><li>Building a positive rapport with students and other faculty. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate the physical skills required to lead students through the appropriate activity. </li></ul> <p>Tools/Equipment</p> <p>Not Applicable</p> <p>Application Instructions</p> <p>Please attach a resume/CV.</p>
