Do you dream of overseeing a fleet of artificially intelligent robot workers deployed in factories and warehouses from coast to coast? As a sysadmin at Tutor, you'll take ownership over the physical and cloud-based infrastructure that powers our robots in-house and across our deployment sites. We're characterized by both technical excellence and a commitment collaboration and respect.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Maintain and improve compute and network infrastructure in the cloud, at our HQ, and in deployment sites </li><li>Configure and debug managed switches, routers, firewalls, and other network equipment </li><li>Automate infrastructure tasks through scripting (bash, Python, or your preferred tool) </li><li>Ensure infrastructure reliability, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions quickly </li><li>Collaborate with software engineers, manufacturing, and customer staff on infrastructure requirements </li></ul> <p>Prerequisites</p> <ul> <li>Deep familiarity with Linux systems </li><li>Strong understanding of networking concepts and the Linux networking stack </li><li>Experience with managed networking hardware (switches, routers, firewalls) </li><li>Comfortable writing scripts to automate infrastructure (bash, Python, etc.) </li><li>Hacker mentality: curious, driven, eager to own your systems and push them further </li></ul> <p>Nice to Haves</p> <ul> <li>Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, etc.) </li><li>Experience with CI/CD pipelines and/or GitOps </li><li>Familiarity with robotics or IoT deployments </li><li>Experience with Docker or container orchestration (Kubernetes, Nomad) </li><li>Understanding of basic electronics or sensor integration </li><li>Strong Python programming skills </li></ul> <p>What We Offer</p> <ul> <li>High-ownership role in a rapidly-growing robotics company </li><li>Opportunity to directly shape real-world deployments of cutting-edge technology </li><li>Collaborative and respectful culture that values your technical skills and independence </li><li>Competitive compensation, benefits and equity ownership </li></ul> <p>Apply for this job</p>
