<p>Position Title: Manager of Athletics Broadcast and Video</p> <p>Department: Athletics</p> <p>Reports To: Director of Athletics Media Relations</p> <p>FLSA Status: Exempt</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Manager of Athletics Broadcast and Video is responsible for the oversight, production, and enhancement of all Coker University Athletics live broadcasts and video content. This position will lead the planning, execution, and quality control of streaming athletic events, highlight packages, social media video content, and special projects to promote the Coker Cobras brand.</p> <p>The position requires collaboration with athletics staff, coaches, student workers, university communications, and external partners to deliver high-quality live streams and engaging video content that enhances fan experience, student-athlete recognition, and department visibility.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate and produce all home athletic event broadcasts through the designated conference and institutional streaming platforms. </li><li>Operate and maintain live video production equipment including cameras, switchers, graphics, and audio. </li><li>Train, schedule, and supervise student workers, interns, and part-time staff for broadcast and video production roles. </li><li>Create video content for social media, in-game promotions, team highlights, student-athlete features, and special events. </li><li>Manage video archiving, storage, and organization for athletic events and historical records. </li><li>Collaborate with sports information, marketing, and communications staff to ensure consistent branding and messaging. </li><li>Oversee setup and troubleshooting of video equipment and software before and during broadcasts. </li><li>Maintain relationships with the South Atlantic Conference and NCAA on broadcast requirements and initiatives. </li><li>Support special athletic events (banquets, Hall of Fame, signing days, etc.) with video and streaming services. </li><li>Maintain inventory for broadcast and video equipment. </li><li>Stay current with best practices, emerging technology, and trends in sports broadcasting and video production. </li><li>Develop all gameday graphics/final score graphics for all contests. </li><li>May have sport responsibilities. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education: Bachelor's degree in communications, digital media, sports management, or a related field required. Master's degree preferred.</p> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in live sports broadcasting, video production, or related field (collegiate or professional athletics preferred). </li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of live streaming platforms, video editing software (Adobe Premiere, Graphics software, Adobe Photoshop, etc.), and graphic creation tools. </li><li>Experience with audio/video equipment setup, troubleshooting, and operation. </li><li>Supervisory experience with student workers or part-time staff preferred. </li></ul> <p>Skills & Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Strong technical knowledge of broadcast equipment and video production. </li><li>Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the athletic event schedule. </li><li>Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills. </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and transport broadcast equipment as needed. </li><li>Extended periods of standing and working during events. </li><li>Nights and weekends are required. </li></ul> <p>Application Instructions Interested applicants should submit a cover letter, resume, and contact information for three professional references to https://coker.isolvedhire.com/iframe/mobile/</p> <p>University Standard Service and Excellence Expectations</p> <p>Coker's standards of service and excellence to the campus and community is an institutional priority for the university.
