<p>Position Type:</p> <p>Extra Duty Worker/Student Worker</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>12/9/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>CISD - Campus Assigned</p> <p>  Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>Program Overview:</p> <p>The TSI Bootcamp is designed as a high-energy, collaborative instructional experience where students will rotate through all five ELAR instructors during the Saturday morning sessions. This dynamic and inviting learning environment will provide targeted, intensive instruction to effectively prepare students to take the TSI ELAR Assessment on Tuesday immediately following the completion of the bootcamp sessions.</p> <p>Compensation:</p> <p>Extra duty/contract pay of $500 for hours not to exceed 8 hours of work</p> <p>Schedule:</p> <ul> <li>Two consecutive Saturday morning sessions in February (2 hours each) </li><li>One virtual training session in mid to late January (approximately 4 hours for preparation and delivery) </li></ul> <p>Positions Available: 5 openings for ELAR (English Language Arts and Reading)</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree and valid Texas teaching certificate {required) </li><li>Knowledge of Texas Success Initiative (TSI) Assessment standards and college readiness benchmarks in English Language Arts and Reading </li><li>Familiarity with TSI ELAR content areas including reading comprehension, literary analysis, vocabulary, and essay writing. </li><li>Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills </li><li>Ability to deliver instruction in both in-person and virtual formats </li></ul> <p>Major Responsibilities and Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Prepare and deliver targeted ELAR instruction to students during designated bootcamp sessions, focusing on reading comprehension, writing skills, and essay development. </li><li>Participate in a virtual training session in mid to late January to align instructional strategies and review TSI ELAR assessment content and best practices. </li><li>Lead and facilitate two 2-hour in-person morning instructional sessions on consecutive Saturdays in February, focusing on test-taking strategies, content review, and student readiness in ELAR. </li><li>Provide students with practice materials, feedback, and guidance to improve their performance on the TSI ELAR Assessment. </li><li>Take all necessary precautions to protect and secure students, materials, and facilities during instructional sessions. </li><li>Keep informed of and ensure compliance with all school district rules, policies, and procedures. </li><li>Communicate effectively, professionally, and courteously with school administration, faculty, parents, and students regarding bootcamp objectives and student progress. </li></ul> <p>Attachment(s):</p> <ul> <li>Bootcamp Instructor - ELAR.pdf </li></ul>
