<p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Utility Engagement Project Manager is responsible for managing project-level engagement with electric utilities to support timely, reliable power delivery for development projects. This role serves as a day-to-day utility interface for assigned projects, coordinating service requests, studies, agreements, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment between utility commitments and project schedules.</p> <p>The position works closely with Utility Engagement leadership, Development, Utility Delivery, Energy, Legal, and Project Controls teams to execute utility engagement activities from early due diligence through power delivery readiness</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Utility & Stakeholder Coordination</p> <ul> <li>Serve as the primary project-level point of contact with electric utilities, transmission owners, and related stakeholders for assigned projects. </li><li>Coordinate and participate in recurring utility meetings, technical discussions, and status reviews. </li><li>Support utility relationship management under the direction of Utility Engagement leadership </li></ul> <p>Project-Level Power Planning</p> <ul> <li>Support assessment of transmission availability, substation capacity, and utility delivery timing for development projects. </li><li>Track utility study progress, queue status, and power delivery milestones. </li><li>Communicate utility timelines, constraints, and risks to internal project teams. </li></ul> <p>Commercial & Agreement Support</p> <ul> <li>Support execution of utility agreements including ESAs, FEAs, interim agreements, and related documents. </li><li>Coordinate internally with Legal, Energy, Treasury, and Finance teams to support approvals and execution. </li><li>Track agreement obligations, security requirements, and key contractual milestones at the project level. </li><li>Perform analysis of commercial agreements and document into ppt / excel as needed </li></ul> <p>Cross-Functional Project Coordination</p> <ul> <li>Act as the Utility Engagement representative within project teams alongside Utility Delivery, Development, and Technical Services. </li><li>Ensure utility assumptions and commitments are aligned with construction sequencing and delivery schedules. </li><li>Support preparation of executive summaries, internal readouts, and decision materials related to utility engagement </li></ul> <p>Data, Reporting & Process Compliance</p> <ul> <li>Maintain accurate project-level utility data in internal systems and dashboards. </li><li>Support adherence to internal utility engagement and power delivery processes. </li><li>Identify risks or misalignments and escalate as appropriate to Utility Engagement leadership. </li></ul> <p>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in engineering, energy, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Foundational understanding of the electric utility industry, including:</p> </li><li> <p>Transmission and distribution systems</p> </li><li> <p>Utility planning and service request processes</p> </li><li> <p>RTOs/ISOs and regulatory environments</p> </li><li> <p>Strong project coordination, organization, and communication skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to manage multiple active projects simultaneously.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working with cross-functional technical and commercial teams.</p> </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Experience supporting large load or infrastructure projects (e.g., data centers, industrial, or utility-scale developments). </li><li>Exposure to transmission studies, interconnection processes, or substation-related infrastructure. </li><li>Prior experience working directly with electric utilities or utility-facing roles esp. related to acquiring large load interconnection agreements </li><li>Comfort preparing written summaries and presenting project updates to internal stakeholders. </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Strong verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Ability to independently manage deadlines and support staff </li><li>Ability to influence cross-discipline teams </li><li>Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations at a high growth company </li><li>Ability to prioritize, multitask, and deliver high quality work in tight timeframes </li></ul> <p>TOTAL REWARDS</p> <p>This role is also eligible for a competitive bene?ts package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; ?exible spending and HSA accounts; paid holidays; paid time off; paid volunteer days; employee assistance program; tuition assistance; parental leave; military leave assistance; QTS scholarship for dependents; wellness program, and other company bene?ts.</p> <p>This position is Bonus eligible.</p> <p>This job may be eligible for equity.</p> <p>We conform to all the laws, statutes, and regulations concerning equal employment opportunities and affirmative action.
