<p>Electrical Drafter</p> <p>Overview</p> <p>We are seeking an Electrical Drafter to support the design and development of complex electrical systems for advanced unmanned and defense-related technologies. This role is responsible for producing high-quality schematics and PCB layouts in a configuration-controlled environment, working closely with engineering teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and design integrity.</p> <p>This is an excellent opportunity for an early to mid-career professional looking to grow in a technically advanced, collaborative environment.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Create and maintain detailed electrical schematics and PCB layouts using industry-standard CAD tools </li><li>Develop clear, accurate technical drawings that represent electrical systems, components, and connections </li><li>Manage drawings within a configuration-controlled environment, ensuring version control and traceability </li><li>Collaborate with electrical engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet project requirements and standards </li><li>Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback into updated drawings </li><li>Support R&D efforts by translating conceptual designs into detailed, production-ready documentation </li><li>Assist with quality inspections by interpreting drawings and verifying design accuracy </li><li>Utilize measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to validate dimensions as needed </li><li>Identify and document nonconforming conditions, partnering with engineering and quality teams for resolution </li><li>Contribute to continuous improvement of drafting standards, templates, and workflows </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Early to mid-career experience in electrical drafting or a related role </li><li>Strong understanding of electrical design principles and schematic development </li><li>Experience creating electrical schematics and PCB layouts using professional CAD tools </li><li>Familiarity with configuration management and document control processes </li><li>Ability to read, interpret, and produce detailed technical drawings and blueprints </li><li>Experience supporting quality control and inspection activities </li><li>Proficiency with basic measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) </li><li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy </li><li>Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience supporting defense or government-related programs </li><li>Familiarity with ERP systems such as Costpoint </li><li>Experience with task tracking tools such as Jira </li><li>Background in R&D environments, particularly in electrical or electronic systems </li><li>Experience with quality inspection processes and nonconformance documentation </li><li>Exposure to unmanned systems, maritime technologies, or advanced engineering applications </li><li>Technical training or education in electrical engineering technology, drafting, or a related field </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This role supports cutting-edge unmanned systems across defense, marine research, and commercial applications. You will work in a collaborative, engineering-driven environment using modern CAD tools, configuration management systems, and enterprise platforms.</p> <p>The position combines office-based design work with close interaction across engineering, quality, and operations teams. The organization emphasizes innovation, technical excellence, and continuous improvement in support of complex, mission-critical systems.</p> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pocasset, MA.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $43.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
