<p>Sr. Director of Behavioral Health & Nursing Operations, Department of Addiction Medicine</p> <ul> <li>Target Salary Range: $140,000 to $160,000 per year </li><li>Onsite Role, Full Time </li><li>Location: Roxbury, MA 02119 </li></ul> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>Reporting to the Chief Behavioral Health Officer, the Sr. Director of Behavioral Health & Nursing Operations for the Department of Addiction Medicine provides transformational, hands-on, onsite leadership ATS, OBAT, CSS, and RRS in the continuum of our department. This leader maintains strong clinical presence, supports direct patient care delivery, and ensures every nurse has the tools, training, and confidence to succeed.</p> <p>This role combines:</p> <ul> <li>Leadership & supervision </li><li>Clinical practice </li><li>Clinical operations </li><li>Nursing education & professional development </li><li>Provider relations </li><li>Program quality and performance </li></ul> <p>Nurse leaders who thrive in this role are clinicians who feel energized by fast-paced care environments, team-based patient management, continuous improvement, and meaningful patient relationships.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Leadership & Strategic Oversight</p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement clinical and operational strategies across service lines. </li><li>Provide leadership to nursing and act as the provider relations liaison. </li><li>Collaborate with senior leadership on organizational clinical priorities. </li><li>Clinical & Nursing Operations Management. </li><li>Oversee all nursing services across ATS, RRS, CSS, OBAT, and recovery settings. </li><li>Ensure evidence-based SUD treatment, withdrawal management, and behavioral interventions. </li><li>Support medical and behavioral health integration. </li></ul> <p>Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance</p> <ul> <li>Maintain BSAS, DPH, TIC, ASAM, and federal compliance. </li><li>Lead quality improvement initiatives and audit readiness. </li><li>Analyze data trends to improve service quality and outcomes. </li></ul> <p>Program Operations & Performance Management</p> <ul> <li>Oversee workflows, policies, and systems that support clinical efficiency. </li><li>Ensure clinical efficacy allowing clients appropriate access to all behavioral health services. </li><li>Ensure medication room compliance and medication inventory are at par levels. </li><li>Ensure coordination among nursing, BH, medical, OBAT, and recovery teams. </li><li>Manage budget performance and resource allocation. </li></ul> <p>Staff Training, Development & Supervision</p> <ul> <li>Supervise nursing leaders. </li><li>Develop training programs in SUD, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed care. </li><li>Mentor emerging clinical leaders. </li></ul> <p>OBAT Program Oversight</p> <ul> <li>Ensure compliance with mOUD protocols and OBAT nurse care management. </li><li>Oversee integration between OBAT and inpatient and residential services. </li></ul> <p>Risk Management & Safety</p> <ul> <li>Lead critical incident review and risk mitigation. </li><li>Ensure staff competency in medical and behavioral health crises. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>RN with active Massachusetts license; advanced degree required. </li><li>MSN </li><li>710 years leadership in behavioral health, SUD, or nursing operations. </li><li>Experience with BSAS-licensed programs and ASAM-aligned services. </li><li>Strong regulatory knowledge and leadership capacity. </li><li>24/7 availability </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience with residential and outpatient addiction treatment models. </li><li>Addiction nursing certification (CARN/CARN-AP). </li><li>Experience with quality improvement frameworks. </li></ul> <p>Skills & Attributes</p> <ul> <li>High emotional intelligence and clinical confidence </li><li>Strong delegation, conflict resolution, and feedback-giving skills </li><li>Ability to remain grounded and compassionate in a fast-paced, sometimes unpredictable patient setting </li><li>Commitment to trauma-informed, equitable care for underserved populations </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions</p> <ul> <li>Full-time, on-site position (37.5 hours/week) </li><li>Extended periods on feet; ability to lift/assist patients as needed </li><li>On-call responsibilities </li></ul> <p>Why Lead at Dimock</p> <ul> <li>A respected and expanding Addiction Medicine program </li><li>A mission-driven team that values collaboration, clinical excellence, and compassion </li><li>Opportunity to build nursing skills in med-surg, psychiatry, and primary careuniquely integrated for addiction treatment </li><li>A department where strong nursing leadership truly shapes patient outcomes </li><li>If you are a strong RN leader who wants to make a lasting impactand you are motivated by purpose, teamwork, learning, and serving patients who need exceptional nursing carethis is a place where your leadership will matter every day </li></ul> <p>EEO Statement</p> <p>The Dimock Center values diversity and is committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of age, color, disability, ethnicity, marital status, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, veteran status, or any other status protected by law</p>
