This position requires a commitment to adhering to all safety regulations and company policies while operating commercial vehicles. The driver will be responsible for maintaining accurate logs of driving hours and vehicle inspections, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. Additionally, the role involves interacting with customers and warehouse staff to facilitate the efficient loading and unloading of cargo. Ultimately, the driver will contribute to the overall success of the logistics operation by delivering products reliably and professionally.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Valid Class CDL-A in the state of residence with a TANKER endorsement - Roll Off or Triaxle. End dump experience is a plus in some areas. </li><li>Time Management and ability to maintain route consistency. </li><li>Communication and customer service skills </li><li>Proficiency in operating Manual and Automatic Transmission vehicles </li><li>Experience using an Electronic Logging System </li><li>Knowledge of hydraulics is a plus. </li><li>Basic computer and cell phone knowledge </li><li>All drivers must be able to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the public, understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records. </li><li>Age 21 and over. </li><li>1-year tractor-trailer experience </li><li>Must have a current DOT medical card. </li><li>Must pass a pre-employment drug screen. </li><li>Must pass a pre-employment background check. </li><li>Must have Clean MVR. </li><li>Must pass the road test. </li><li>Live in a defined hiring area and be willing to park at the approved parking area. </li><li>No DUI or DWI conviction in a commercial motor vehicle or personal vehicle in the last three (3) years. </li><li>No DOT Drug Alcohol Violation within the past 3 years. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs). </li><li>Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance. </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Delivery equipment ranges from 30-45' open-top dump trailers (combination vehicles) across a regional footprint determined by management. </li><li>Operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles by DOT requirements as well as all local, state, and federal laws. </li><li>Perform pre-and post-trip inspections. </li><li>Typical use of hand tools for basic repairs of company bins and equipment. </li><li>Maintenance of basic truck equipment and overall cleanliness of equipment. </li><li>Utilize electronic logging system for DOT driver logs and as otherwise required. </li><li>Maintain paperwork (contamination and service tickets, truck maintenance, etc.) and submit all documentation to the appropriate party. </li><li>Regularly communicate with customers and vendors to ensure seamless operations. </li><li>Communicate with the corporate office/operations team regularly for all service, equipment, and customer service-related issues. </li><li>Report all accidents and injuries immediately to the safety manager. </li><li>Ability to work flexible hours based on seasonality, up to 60 hours in a 7-day week or 70 hours in 8 days. </li><li>Attend and participate in weekly safety calls, trainings, or briefings. </li><li>Basic usage of computer and cell phone for training, communication, and expense management </li></ul> <p>Skills:</p> <p>The required skills for this position include strong driving abilities and a thorough understanding of safety regulations, which are essential for navigating various road conditions and ensuring the safety of the cargo.
