<p>Candidates must have an active Secret clearance and verify, before applying, that you meet the minimum requirements of the position.</p> <p>Software Engineer - Product Manager Tactical Communications Systems</p> <p>Location: APG, MD</p> <p>Security Clearance: Secret</p> <p>Education: Bachelors degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field (masters preferred).</p> <p>Minimum years of Experience: Minimum 10 years of progressive software engineering experience, with at least 3 years supporting Department of War (DoW) communications or mission-critical systems</p> <p>Substitutions: BS can be substituted with an additional four (4) years additional experience may be substituted for the degree.</p> <p>Salary: 130K-170K Annual; Commensurate with Education/Experience</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>Design, develop, test, and integrate advanced software solutions for Army tactical radios and communications technologies.</p> <p>Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise for secure, robust, and scalable software architectures.</p> <p>Collaborate with Program Managers, systems engineers, and other SETA team members to define requirements and implementation roadmaps.</p> <p>Conduct code reviews, debug complex issues, and drive continuous software performance and security improvements.</p> <p>Support system-level testing, fielding, and sustainment activities, delivering timely solutions to technical challenges.</p> <p>Develop and maintain technical documentation in compliance with Army and DoD standards.</p> <p>Travel as required (~20%)</p> <p>Required Experience & Qualifications:</p> <p>Proficiency in C++, Java, Python, or similar languages, with experience developing embedded systems or communications platforms.</p> <p>Strong knowledge of secure coding practices, networking protocols, and system integration.</p> <p>Ability to translate complex operational requirements into effective, real-world software solutions.</p> <p>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>Experience with current Army tactical radios, waveforms, and military communications technologies.
