<p>Employment Type: Full-Time</p> <p>FSLA: Hourly/Non-Exempt</p> <p>Division: Riggs</p> <p>Department: Riggs</p> <p>Reports to: Labor Foreman / Project Manager</p> <p>Supervisory Duties: No</p> <p>Salary Range: $25 - $32/hour</p> <p>Carpenters are responsible for designing, building, installing, and repairing structures, fixtures, furniture, and other items using a variety of materials, including wood, steel, plastic, fiberglass, and drywall. This role requires precision, physical strength, and the ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures.</p> <p>Responsibilities / Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Perform work efficiently, safely, and accurately to consistently meet production goals set by the Foreman, Superintendent, or Project Manager. </li><li>Prepare project layouts and accurately estimate height, width, length, and other necessary dimensions. </li><li>Read and interpret blueprints or instructions from supervisors. </li><li>Select appropriate materials for each task, including wood, plastic, fiberglass, and drywall. </li><li>Use hand and power tools such as chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to construct, install, and repair structures. </li><li>Join materials using nails, screws, staples, or adhesives. </li><li>Work at various heights using ladders, scaffolding, stilts, and top beams of buildings. </li><li>Inspect completed work to ensure it meets code and project specifications. </li><li>Install cabinetry, molding, partitions, doors, and windows. </li><li>Create structural supports for concrete work, including building forms and tunnel bracing. </li><li>Replace building components such as glass panes, ceiling tiles, and doors. </li><li>Move and install machinery as required. </li><li>Erect scaffolding and temporary structures as needed. </li><li>Follow all company safety and personnel policies and protocols. </li><li>Travel to all assigned job sites as required. </li><li>Perform physical activities such as climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting overhead, and walking/working in rough terrain to access tools, materials, and jobsite locations. </li><li>Work flexible hours as necessary to meet project and company goals. </li></ul> <p>Key Skills</p> <ul> <li>Strong work ethic and reliability </li><li>Punctual and dependable </li><li>Willingness to follow instructions and learn on the job </li><li>Ability to work both independently and as part of a team </li><li>Maintains professionalism on site </li><li>Flexible and able to work overtime as needed </li><li>Committed to safety and attention to detail </li></ul> <p>Required Experience</p> <ul> <li>Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required </li><li>Experience: Minimum of 7 years of hands-on carpentry experience </li><li>Ability to lift and carry loads up to 100 pounds </li><li>Comfortable climbing and working from ladders or scaffolding </li><li>Capable of standing and walking for extended periods </li></ul>
