<p>Are you looking for a unique summer opportunity to serve others, make life-long connections, and experience the South Bend community in a way you never have? Join the Alumni Association as a Student Program Leader at Family Volunteer Camp!</p> <p>This is a program where alumni and their children from around the world return to campus for a week-long program focused on community service. Some of our partners include the Food Bank of Northern Indiana, Hope Ministries, the YWCA, Habitat for Humanity and Unity Gardens. Additionally, families participate in community-building activities, prayer, and learning while enjoying the unique amenities of campus. There are nine positions available.</p> <p>Student Program Leaders will serve as the primary group leaders at the service project sites. In this role they will form working relationships with several nonprofit agencies and they will help manage the daily projects at the work sites by ensuring volunteers are engaged in meaningful work, confirming projects are completed according to the agencies' specifications, and assisting participants in learning the agencies' missions and the communities in which they serve.</p> <p>Student Program Leaders will also serve as ambassadors of the University on behalf of the Alumni Association. They will attend group activities and will be expected to engage alumni and their children in meaningful conversation. They will also provide logistical and administrative support for preparing and leading each camp.</p> <p>This position is perfect for current college students or recent graduates who:</p> <ul> <li>Are passionate about service and working within diverse communities. </li><li>Enjoy working with young people. </li><li>Want to make connections with Notre Dame alumni. </li><li>Thrive in leadership positions. </li></ul> <p>All meals are provided during working hours, and housing is provided for non-local candidates.</p> <p>This commitment starts on campus on July 6, 2025, and ends on July 24, 2025.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Participate in Camp activities Sunday through Thursday </li><li>Lead families in daily worksite activities </li><li>Attend evening social activities </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Please read the information regarding schedules and time commitments carefully in the "Schedule" section below.</p>
