<p>Description</p> <p>Job Title: Housekeeping</p> <p>Reports To: Director of Facilities</p> <p>Location: Shelter</p> <p>Part-time</p> <p>Job Overview</p> <p>Dedicated to ensuring that the emergency shelter and childcare building where survivors are served is safe, clean and properly maintained.</p> <p>Responsibilities and Duties</p> <p>Responsible for cleaning the emergency shelter and childcare building where survivors are served so that areas are well organized, clean and tidy:</p> <ul> <li>Clean floors by sweeping mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming </li><li>Gather and empty trash in common areas, restrooms, break rooms, children's areas, dining rooms, kitchen </li><li>Clean and supply public restrooms and supply resident restrooms </li><li>Clean main and side dining areas to include: chairs, tables, serving line, counter tops, and front and inside of refrigerators and microwaves that survivors use </li><li>Assist kitchen staff with deep cleaning of cooking area at least once a month </li><li>Fill cleaning liquids for survivors to use on a regular basis </li><li>Other occasional cleaning duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Accountability: Areas in which the position is accountable/responsible</p> <ul> <li>Quality Control: Ensures all areas are kept in a clean and orderly condition. </li><li>Records: Accountable for ensuring records and documentation are accurate and current. </li><li>Policies/Procedures: Ensures safety procedures are followed. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Business-Related Contacts</p> <p>N/A</p> <p>Educational requirements</p> <p>High School or equivalent</p> <p>Certification or licensing requirements</p> <p>Requires Domestic Violence Core Competency training plus an additional 6 hours of individualized training (30 hours total) to qualify for privilege status; must successfully pass written test</p> <p>Valid Florida Driver's License with active automobile insurance and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report. Must have two years of driving experience.</p> <p>Must be able to pass and maintain a level 2 background check</p> <p>Specialized equipment or machines used in the course of the duties of the position</p> <p>OSHA training cleaning methods cross contamination in a kitchen and bathroom, and spill containment.</p> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <p>This position requires using hands, walking frequently, climbing stairs, stopping, bending, stretching, pushing and pulling up to 40 pounds. Vision and talking/hearing is required most of the time. Lifting up to 40 pounds is required to use equipment and carry supplies, etc.</p> <p>Employee will be exposed to cleaning solvents.</p> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The environment is typically in an office setting with moderate noise. There is occasional exposure to the outdoors when transporting individuals.</p> <p>The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
