<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Under the general supervision of the Warden.</p> </li><li> <p>The incumbent will assist in managing, planning, implementation and coordination of ongoing services in the agency's centralized pre-release program, which will include supervision of educational services, chaplaincy, volunteer services and human services/clinical counselors.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinates with other divisions and outside agencies to ensure inmates in the pre-release program have access to available services and programs to assist them in their transition back into the community.</p> </li><li> <p>Supervises maintenance and sanitation in assigned areas.</p> </li><li> <p>Serves as on-call official on a rotating basis.</p> </li><li> <p>Writes policies and procedures for a level 1 institution.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares (writes) various reports, special studies and staff papers, including recommendations relating to proposed changes in policies, procedures, rules, regulations and laws.</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as required</p> </li></ul> <p>Must successfully complete eight (8) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.</p> <p>Questions regarding the application process, this job posting or any other postings with the SCDC should be directed to:</p> <p>Recruiting and Employment Services</p> <p>(803) 896-1649</p> <p>Employment@doc.sc.gov</p> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <p>State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:</p> <p>A bachelor's degree and supervisory experience in a correctional environment or relevant military experience.
