<p>Momofuku</p> <p>Momofuku was founded by chef David Chang in 2004 with the opening of Momofuku Noodle Bar in New York City. Credited with "the rise of contemporary Asian-American cuisine" by the New York Times and named the "most important restaurant in America" by Bon Appétit magazine, Momofuku has restaurants in the New York, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas as well as Momofuku Goods, a line of restaurant-grade products for home cooks.</p> <p>About Super Peach by Momofuku</p> <p>Super Peach by Momofuku is a new restaurant opening in later this year at Westfield Century City.</p> <p>Part of the larger Momofuku family, Super Peach is an approachable, fast-paced concept built for high volume and bold flavor. Super Peach offers the opportunity to join a growing team focused on sharp execution, great hospitality, and creating a high-energy dining experience from the ground up.</p> <p>Momofuku Lead Bartender's will maintain the bar program and under the guidance of management, aid in the development of the bar program's forthcoming phases, as well as help train new bartenders and bar backs in all technical aspects of bar operations. The Lead Bartender will also assist management in inventory management, organization, cleaning schedule and checklist maintenance. The Lead Bartender will oversee maintaining batching consistency and par upkeep. The Lead Bartender is expected to give service that is knowledgeable, approachable, efficient, energetic, and thoughtful while upholding company standards, values and balancing responsibilities in a busy, fast paced environment. We encourage our team members to grow and learn, and offer many opportunities for personal and career development.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Uphold service and beverage standards during shifts to lead by example </li><li>Coach fellow team members during shifts to maintain standards; communicate deficiencies to management for follow up </li><li>Oversee and guide guest's complete dining and bar experience </li><li>Provide knowledgeable, approachable, efficient, energetic, and thoughtful service at all times </li><li>Full knowledge of food and beverage menu items including the major components of a dish/drink; this may include ingredients and their source, simple descriptions of unfamiliar ingredients, preparation, and/or execution of correct food and beverage service </li><li>Full knowledge of spirits, beer, and wine </li><li>Create and implement cocktail program, keeping in style with Momofuku </li><li>Adhere to all company service standards and protocols </li><li>Track and fulfill all preordered beverage items. This includes managing bottle and cap inventory, making labels, packing orders, making and packing garnishes. </li><li>Uphold Momofuku standards of quality when assembling alcoholic beverages for guests </li><li>Responsibly serve alcoholic beverages </li><li>Confident and correct use of POS system for order entry and payment processing </li><li>Ensure food and beverage arrive to guests quickly and correctly; and confirming guest satisfaction </li><li>Maintain the cleanliness of bar tools and bar areas </li><li>Ensure guests are charged correctly and receive proof of payment in a timely manner </li><li>Communicate respectfully with service team and management, chefs (and kitchen team) as necessary </li><li>Support team with beverage service to all dining room areas </li><li>Engage management for any guest issue or complaint </li><li>Stocking and preparing bar service related items </li><li>Assist the FOH Managers in defining and enforcing beverage service standards </li><li>Adhere to grooming and dress code standards </li><li>Construct and serve all alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages for bar guests and table service </li><li>Maintain full menu knowledge for both food and beverage items, including all allergen information </li><li>Maintain all approved beverage recipes to the provided specifications </li><li>Utilize the POS system correctly for order entry and payment processing </li><li>Maintain professional and warm guest communications </li><li>Recognize key people in the industry, VIP guests and contacts related to the company and follow company protocol related to their visit </li><li>Adhere to Momofuku's Cleaning and sanitation SOPs </li><li>Additional service and/or operational tasks as determined by manager </li><li>Assist teammates to anticipate all other FOH needs </li><li>Ordering, goods receiving and invoice processing at the direction and approval of the General Manager and Corporate Beverage team </li><li>Work with industry reps and negotiate price for on menu spirits </li><li>Assist General Manager and Corporate Beverage team with overseeing beverage costs and pricing </li><li>Hold training sessions for the full Front of House team to develop and improve knowledge </li><li>Communicate of any menu changes and stock changes to General Manager and relevant staff, including ordering needs </li><li>Maintain accuracy of pre-service beverage notes </li></ul> <p>INVENTORY MANAGEMENT & MENU DEVELOPMENT</p> <ul> <li>Utilize sales reporting, provided by management, to identify sales trends </li><li>Follow the creative direction and costing parameters of the Beverage Manager and General Manager to create and maintain cocktail menus and spirits that align with Momofuku's overall vision and ethos </li><li>Work with Beverage Manager on standardizing recipes and prep workbooks. </li><li>Work with the management to assist with End of Month (EOM) Inventory counting as needed </li><li>Ability to maintain an organized and clean liquor storage, and beer walk-in. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 3+ years of bartending experience in a high-volume environment </li><li>1+ years supervisory experience a plus </li><li>Strong beverage knowledge and a passion for the service industry </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills </li><li>Must possess exceptional work ethic, strong attention to detail, and a collaborative attitude </li><li>Receptive to constructive criticism and performance feedback </li><li>Ability to demonstrate quick thinking and adaptability in a constantly changing environment </li><li>A positive and enthusiastic attitude, as well as a desire to learn, grow, and develop new skills </li><li>Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve guest conflict </li><li>Willing to accept guidance in a positive manner and implement the direction in a way that is </li><li>productive for both you and the team </li><li>Able to work in a standing/walking position for long periods of time </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>2+ years of experience as a Head Bartender, Bartender, or related role in a restaurant with a </li><li>comparable service style and/or cuisine </li><li>Experience in running a bar program </li><li>Ability to train new Bartenders in all aspects and responsibilities of the role </li><li>A proven track record of dependability and a continuous focus on learning and development </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>? The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours.
