This role requires an advanced mechanical and electrical aptitude and the ability to trouble shoot and resolve complex issues efficiently.</p> <p>Requirements for Effective Performance:</p> <ul> <li>Oil, lubricate, and perform general preventative maintenance of specified machines such as overhead hoists and air compressors </li><li>Repair company equipment and tools </li><li>Perform janitorial duties as needed </li><li>Bale cardboard and remove bales when necessary </li><li>Assist outside contractors working on Zero Zone property </li><li>Pick up trash and empty containers in plant work areas </li><li>Perform snow removal and lawn maintenance as needed </li><li>Provide employees with assistance on assorted projects as needed </li><li>Perform, document, and file all preventative maintenance programs </li><li>Adhere to all clean up, maintenance, housekeeping, and safety procedures </li><li>Machine and mill parts for assorted pieces of equipment </li><li>Cut and weld steel accurately and safely </li><li>Cut, thread, and install piping </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Requirements for Effective Performance:</p> <ul> <li>5-7 years of electrical and/or mechanical experience or a combination of both </li><li>Intermediate experience with MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding </li><li>Advanced familiarity with a variety of small hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices. </li><li>Exercise judgment in the planning and sequence of operations </li></ul> <p>Skills/Abilities/Specifications:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to diagnose equipment issues and make necessary repairs </li><li>Ability to comprehend simple instructions, both oral and written. </li><li>Ability to effectively communicate one-on-one and in group settings with other employees within the organization. </li><li>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. </li><li>Ability to deal with simple problems in the maintenance process. </li></ul> <p>Behavioral & Environmental Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain a positive work attitude.
