<p>Under the supervision of the Aquatics Supervisor, the Concession Crew Member position includes the following duties:</p> <ul> <li>Assists the Pool Managers, Aquatics Coordinators, and Guest Services staff in the daily operations of the aquatics facilities by performing tasks and duties as assigned. </li><li>Independently responsible for concessions stand, food preparation, and customer service at the aquatics site. </li><li>Ensures exceptional food safety standards are maintained. </li><li>Concessions Crew Members are expected to be available throughout the entire season for at least 20 hours per week and up to 40 hours per week. </li><li>Provides positive customer service to patrons including collecting admission gate fees, selling membership passes, concession and retail sales, and telephonic contact </li><li>Ability to enforce pool rules in a professional manner </li><li>Maintains the office, concessions, parking area, restrooms, building interior and exterior, general pool and playground area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion, removes safety hazards </li><li>Adherence to food service rules and regulations set by the Franklin County Board of Health </li><li>Assist with event activities </li></ul> <p>Any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. A typical way to qualify is to have completed one year of high school or equivalent life experience and one year of progressively responsible experience at a pool facility is preferred</p> <p>Licensure or Certification Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Current American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, and Administering Emergency Oxygen certificate preferred. </li><li>Current ServSafe Food Handler Certification or ability to obtain before employment is required. </li></ul> <p>Other</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 15 years of age </li><li>Performs other related tasks as required by Recreation Supervisor, Recreation Programmers and Guest Services Leads </li><li>Provide availability and scheduling information in accordance with assigned deadlines </li><li>Attend all required pre- and in-service trainings </li><li>Performs other tasks and duties as assigned by the Recreation Supervisor </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</p> <p>Knowledge of:</p> <ul> <li>Basic principles and practices used in customer service. </li><li>Basic office environment practices. </li></ul> <p>Skill in:</p> <ul> <li>Cash handling and procedures. </li></ul> <p>Ability to: (Mental and Physical Abilities)</p> <ul> <li>Work independently. </li><li>Adhere to regulations, policies, and procedures required by the State of Ohio, Franklin County Board of Health, the City of Gahanna, and all other regulatory/governing bodies. </li><li>Understand and follow instructions from Pool Manager, Aquatics Coordinators, and Recreation Supervisor </li><li>Handle and balance a cash drawer. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>The employee is subject to inside and outside environment conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, noise, vibration, hazards, and atmospheric conditions. </li><li>This is heavy work requiring the exertion of 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects; work requires, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, and repetitive motions. </li></ul>
