<p>Overview</p> <p>THE ROLE:</p> <p>The Manager, Global Regulatory Affairs & Product Compliance (NAM) will report to Sr. Director, Regulatory Affairs-Americas and provide leadership and management direction for all product-related regulatory matters in countries designated by the department. Thorough knowledge of current and proposed regulations on food, dietary supplements, and topical products, this position will help develop regional regulatory strategy, ensure compliance for all new and existing products, monitor changes in regulations and legislations, provide regulatory guidance, advice, and risk analysis to the business units, and influence change in ministerial bodies throughout the region.</p> <p>HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:</p> <ul> <li>Manage new and existing product compliance and initiates changes on product label and registration based on new regulations or business needs;• Work closely with cross functional teams (marketing, R&D, and legal) to develop product regulatory strategy for the region;• Manage a team of employees and consultants, providing necessary training, setting priorities and evaluating performance; monitors and adjusts workload of team members and providing coaching and mentoring; identify areas of process improvement to create efficiency;• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to review and approve product labels and other marketing collateral to ensure compliance with applicable regulations; • Monitor developments in statutes and regulations and relevant government offices in countries within functional responsibility; cultivate relationships with regulatory officers; report changes and trends up the chain of command and to stakeholder business groups within the Company;• Advise regional and corporate business stakeholder groups about impact of changes in product regulation;• Participate in regional trade association committees as required, including but not limited to assuming leadership roles in the organization, engaging in lobbying or persuasion campaigns, relaying information to and directing organization teams in regulatory reform projects. • Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Up to six direct reports.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>SKILLS AND BACKGROUND:</p> <p>Skills:• Communication skills to coach team members and report up the chain of command and collaborate with other departments.• Ability to integrate project work of team with strategic undertakings; willingness to consider new perspectives, • Ability to understand complex problems and devise solutions tailored to business objectives.• Ability to understand and report both in detail and in summary.• Flexibility to both tactical and strategic changes of direction or process.• Ability to plan projects, report milestones and status, and manage projects to completion.• Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures, and to deal constructively with difficult situations and various personalities.</p> <p>Experience:• 7+ years' experience in food, nutrition, dietary supplements, pharmaceuticals, or a related field• 3+ years' management experience• Strong knowledge of NAM regulatory environment• Expert knowledge and experience relating to regulatory compliance business processes• Proven knowledge and experience leading regulatory/department projects• Experience with making difficult management decisions, taking corrective actions, and holding crucial discussions with staff</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, Pharmacy, Legal, or related field </li></ul> <p>#LI-NP1</p> <p>US Benefits Statement</p> <p>Herbalife offers a variety of benefits to eligible employees in the U.S. (limited to the 50 States and the District of Columbia), which includes Group Health Programs, other Voluntary Benefit Programs, and Paid Time Off.
