<p>General Description:</p> <p>Must be 17 years or older. Team Leader is responsible for assisting with the supervision and management of a program site, its staff and its participants. This includes:</p> <ul> <li>Enforcing rules and maintaining a safe environment, </li><li>Planning and organizing activities, and </li><li>Managing administrative duties. </li></ul> <p>Principle Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Available for the entirety of summer camp season 6/22/26 - 8/14/26, which includes trainings. </li><li>Attends Epi Pen, DCF Mandated Reporter and Medication & Administering Certification trainings as well as all scheduled staff meetings. </li><li>Assists in the scheduling of staff in accordance with program attendance and lunch breaks. </li><li>Assists in handling parent concerns in a professional, empathetic manner, reinforcing our commitment to customer service. </li><li>Always maintains a professional demeanor/attitude to demonstrate the importance of customer service. </li><li>Assists in keeping accurate records of attendance, emergencies and behavior issues for all children for follow up and documentation when needed. </li><li>Inspects, or assign a staff person to inspect, site areas such as bathrooms, parking lots, for hazards or suspicious activities to maintain a safe program. </li><li>Provides written reports of accidents or incidents immediately to the Supervisor/Program Coordinator so they may follow up with appropriate action. </li><li>Enforce department rules and policies for the benefit of all participants. </li><li>Assign a staff person to perform daily inventory of program supplies inspecting for shortages or damages, and report results to supervisor. </li><li>Adherence to the employee manual to promote consistency in the staff. </li><li>Assists supervisor as needed and performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Conditions and Equipment: Requires some heavy lifting, working outdoors, sneakers and/or safe footwear required at all times. Staff shirt must be worn on all days at camp.</p> <p>Qualification/Specification:</p> <ul> <li>CPR/First Aid/AED certified. </li><li>Must be able to give effective directions and supervision of staff. </li><li>Must be able to understand and carry out written and oral instructions. </li><li>Must demonstrate good decision-making abilities especially in emergency situations. </li><li>Must have a positive personality and the ability to provide leadership and stability for program continuity and success. </li><li>Must be able to demonstrate the ability to work with both children and adults in a mature manner. </li><li>Must be 17 years or older. </li><li>Some college or related work experienced desired. </li></ul> <p>AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY/AFFIRMATIVE ACTION EMPLOYER</p> <p>Disclaimer</p> <p>The duties listed above are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed.
