<p>Special Education Paraprofessional (Scholar Aide)</p> <p>Full-Time | Galapagos Rockford Charter School</p> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>Galapagos Rockford Charter School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Paraprofessional to support scholars with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) within the general education setting. This is a full-time, permanent position focused on fostering academic and social success for all scholars.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide small-group and one-on-one support to reinforce instruction and implement intervention plans</p> </li><li> <p>Model positive behavior and provide academic guidance in alignment with scholars' needs</p> </li><li> <p>Track and document scholar progress through daily observation, data trackers, and progress logs</p> </li><li> <p>Support school operations through clerical tasks, classroom setup, and other duties as assigned</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Candidates must meet at least one of the following criteria:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Completed 48 semester hours of college coursework</p> </li><li> <p>Earned an associate degree or higher</p> </li><li> <p>Hold a high school diploma with substantial experience working with children and supporting behavior</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience (paid or volunteer) supporting individuals with special needs or behavioral challenges</p> </li><li> <p>Bilingual in Spanish</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</p> </li><li> <p>Strong collaboration skills and a results-driven mindset</p> </li><li> <p>Persistence and problem-solving abilities in the face of challenges</p> </li><li> <p>A belief in every scholar's potential and full alignment with Galapagos' mission and core values</p> </li></ul>
