<p>The successful candidate will have proficient knowledge in all phases of the repair of damaged vehicle bodies and frames, including metal straightening, smoothing areas by filling, grinding, or sanding, concealment of imperfections, painting and replacement of body components including trim. Impact's Auto Body Collision Repair program is recognized by I-CAR and is open to high school juniors and seniors from 13 high schools in Northeast Indiana.</p> <p>The ideal candidate will hold I-CAR Platinum Certification status; a current teaching license or the ability to obtain an Indiana Workplace Specialist license; and a minimum of 5 years work experience as a technician in the field. Other I-CAR or ASE certifications are acceptable with the candidates willingness to pursue I-CAR platinum status. In order to obtain a Workplace Specialist License, candidates must be able to provide documentation of either 5,000 clock hours of occupational experience within 5 years or 4,000 clock hours of occupational experience within the last 10 years and documentation of a two year Associate's Degree or higher in the area of teaching focus.</p> <p>Additionally candidates should possess:</p> <ul> <li>A proven track record of success in the career field </li><li>Experience working with students (preferred) </li><li>Ability to work individually and as a part of a team </li><li>Ability to provide guidance in the career pathway </li><li>Ability to establish relationships with students and industry partners </li></ul> <p>This is a full time position throughout the school year teaching 11th and 12th graders.
