Demonstrates strong communication skills, accepts delegated tasks, and has the knowledge and understanding to ask questions and report patient information as indicated. Appropriately handles patient information understanding confidentiality and privacy. Complies with the safety management program designed to provide a physical environment free of hazards and to reduce the risk of injury. Is knowledgeable about and responsive to the mission of the hospital. The PCA promotes a patient and family experience-oriented environment and acts as a change agent to meet the rapidly changing census and needs of all customers-both internal and external. The PCA measures and records vital signs, intake, and output, assists patients with activities of daily living, and provides safe transportation and environment for patients.</p> <p>Department Specific Job Details:</p> <p>Shift:</p> <ul> <li>2x shifts per week </li><li>7pm-7:30am </li><li>Every 3rd weekend </li><li>Holidays on a rotating schedule </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>HSD/GED is required </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>PCA training or PCA experience or actively enrolled in a health care related education program is required </li><li>1-2 years STNA experience in hospital setting is preferred </li></ul> <p>Certification/Licensure:</p> <ul> <li>CPR is preferred at hire, but must be obtained within 2 weeks of start date </li></ul> <p>Education Requirements:</p> <p>GED, High School (Required)</p> <p>Certification/License Requirements:</p> <p>CPR: Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation - American Heart Association</p>
