<p>Department: Continuing Education</p> <p>Salary: Commensurate with Experience/Education</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>We are seeking a passionate and skilled Spring Camp and/or Summer Camp Instructor to teach and lead educational and skill-building activities for children during the school break. As an instructor, you will use your expertise in a specific subject area (such as arts and crafts, sports, music, nature, or STEM) to create engaging, hands-on learning experiences. Your role will focus on fostering children's creativity, confidence, and teamwork while ensuring their safety and enjoyment.</p> <p>Instructors experienced in the fields of Architecture, Coding, Theater, 2D/3D Art, Debate, Public Speaking, Finance, Business Management, or Python are preferred.</p> <p>As an instructor, your responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Creating an informative and engaging educational experience for camp attendees </li><li>Ensuring a safe and comfortable learning environment for campers of all backgrounds and abilities </li><li>Ensuring attendee success in a classroom environment </li><li>Managing classroom disruptions that may arise </li><li>Fostering bonds between campers through group activities and projects </li><li>Coordinating with counselors to ensure smooth daily operations </li><li>Responding to questions and concerns from parents and guardians of children </li></ul> <p>All positions at the University of Houston-System are security sensitive and will require a criminal history check.</p> <p>The University of Houston System and its universities are an Equal Opportunity Institution.</p>
