<p>This posting as been set up to receive candidate applications for interest in teaching Personal Enrichment courses through the Continuing Education Division at Pitt Community College and will allow our staff to search applications and skills when active class needs are available. </p> <p>The Personal Enrichment Instructor plans and delivers engaging, non-credit, courses that support lifelong learning and personal growth for community members. Personal enrichment courses include art, music, dance, cooking, fitness and wellness. photography, creative writing, gardening, home improvement, financial literacy, technology basics and MUCH MORE!</p> <ul> <li>Prepare and teach assigned courses in accordance with course syllabus. </li><li>Maintain accurate registration, attendance, and payroll records for each course taught. </li><li>Prepare, review, and update course syllabus on a regular basis. </li><li>Recommend and assist with curriculum revisions as necessary. </li><li>Use formative and summative assessment techniques to improve learning and teaching. </li><li>Create an effective learning environment and use teaching methods designed for a variety of learning styles. </li><li>Submit required reports and fulfill all contract provisions. </li><li>Assist with maintaining a classroom environment emphasizing safety, good housekeeping, and equipment security. </li><li>Maintain student, instructor, and staff confidentiality. Consistently monitor work area to ensure instructor and student data is being protected according to Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) regulations. </li><li>Multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively. </li><li>Adapt and respond to changing work situations and environments in a positive manner. </li><li>Participate in professional development activities designed to enhance job skills and knowledge, as agreed upon by the employee and supervisor. </li><li>Interact with students, the public, the community, and co-workers in a cooperative, courteous and professional manner. </li><li>Comply with the College's policies and procedures. </li><li>Perform related duties and responsibilities, as assigned by supervisor. </li></ul> <p>Our Values:</p> <p>At Pitt Community College, our culture is built on excellence, collaboration, innovation, accountability and a student-centered focus.
