<p>X- RAY TECHNICIAN</p> <p>FLSA: NON-EXEMPT</p> <p>Duties/Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Prepare and assist patients for X-ray and EKG procedures, explaining the processes to ensure comfort and cooperation. </li><li>Obtain and verify patient medical history and relevant information prior to imaging procedures. </li><li>Perform routine X-rays and EKGs as ordered by providers, ensuring proper positioning and technique. </li><li>Operate radiographic equipment to capture high-quality images, adhering to protocols for radiation safety and protection for patients, staff, and self. </li><li>File X-ray reports in the patient's medical chart accurately and timely. </li><li>Maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards. </li><li>Requisition supplies when needed to ensure continuous operation of imaging services. </li><li>Maintain ongoing quality assurance programs to monitor imaging practices and equipment functionality. </li><li>Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. </li><li>Communicate effectively with patients, providing clear instructions and addressing any questions or concerns. </li><li>Stay current with advancements in radiology technology and best practices through ongoing education and training. </li><li>Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to imaging services. </li><li>Perform additional tasks as needed to support the centers. </li></ul> <p>Required Skills/Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. </li><li>Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. </li><li>Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. </li><li>Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. </li><li>Ability to use office equipment, including computers, copy machines, fax machines, telephones, calculators, and more. </li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and related software. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology or Florida BMO License is required. </li><li>Current Radiologic Technologist from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) is preferred. </li><li>Valid X- Ray Florida state license with no restrictions. </li><li>BLS is required within 3 months of hire. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to stand for extended periods, walk throughout the facility, and maneuver between different areas of the clinic. </li><li>Ability to lift 20 pounds and position patients weighing up to 75 pounds with assistance. </li><li>Ability to bend, stoop, and reach to adjust equipment and assist patients as needed. </li><li>Must be able to travel to various center locations as required. </li></ul>
