<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Full time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Day Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>GENERAL SUMMARY:</p> <p>The Trauma Registrar collects trauma data for quality improvement, epidemiology and injury research. Codes and enters data into computerized trauma registry. Generates Trauma Services reports.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Identifies cases for inclusion into the trauma registry.</p> </li><li> <p>Abstracts data from EMR.</p> </li><li> <p>Assigns and scores all injuries, procedures and complications utilizing AIS and ICD-10 coding systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Inputs all data into trauma registry.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares and provides reports as requested.</p> </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Registered Health Information Administrator preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Previous experience in medical record abstracting and data entry preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>ICD-10, AAAM-AIS 15, and ATS Trauma Registry course preferred or completed within a year of hire.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong Anatomy, Physiology and Medical terminology background.</p> </li></ul> <p>Our Commitment</p> <p>Rooted in our Mission and Core Values, we honor the dignity of every person and recognize the unique perspectives, experiences, and talents each colleague brings.
