<p>Job Summary and Responsibilities</p> <p>As our Surgical Tech, you will help prepare the operating room and surgical team so they can successfully perform a variety of surgical procedures for patients.</p> <p>Every day you will set up surgical equipment and instruments, assist the surgical team, and ensure a sterile environment. You will be expected to adapt quickly, collaborate effectively within the OR team, and contribute directly to the patient's healing process.</p> <p>To be successful in this role, you must possess adaptability, a strong team-player mindset, and enthusiasm for supporting complex surgical procedures.</p> <ul> <li>Duties and responsibilities </li><li>Ensures a professional and responsive atmosphere by greeting patients, visitors, staff, and physicians promptly and courteously. Refers to each individual by name when appropriate. </li><li>Participates actively in the staffing needs of the department and hospital. </li><li>Participate in setting up an operating room prior to surgery, opening sterile packs and arranging instruments and equipment according to surgical procedures. </li><li>Assists with on-going procedure data collection with RN. </li><li>Plans activities (in scrub role) based on priority of physical and procedural needs. </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements</p> <p>Required</p> <ul> <li>Graduate of an ARC/STSA (AccreditationReview Council on Education in SurgicalTechnology and Surgical Assisting)accredited program of surgical technologyis required., upon hire and </li></ul> <p>Preferred</p> <ul> <li>Previous clinical experience in healthcareis preferred, upon hire </li><li>Certified Surgical Technologist, upon hire </li></ul> <p>Where You'll Work</p> <p>Founded in 1950, Dignity Health - Sequoia Hospital is a 208-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located in Redwood City, California.
