<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Lebanon Elementary School is seeking an Art Teacher for the SY'25-26. Join a dynamic team of dedicated staff, supportive parents and incredible students in a small town setting. The ideal candidate will have an educational philosophy that values inclusion of children with differing abilities, cultural responsiveness, trauma informed teaching and restorative practices. The ideal candidate will also have technical competence using electronic data collection and assessment systems, using standards to guide instruction, and effective classroom management. Come join our close knit team.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Must possess Connecticut Teaching certification in Art, PK-12 (042) </li><li>Strong oral and written communication skills </li><li>Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <p>The job description is illustrative and not a complete itemization of all duties and responsibilities of the job.</p> <ul> <li>Provide the appropriate educational opportunities, instruction, and assessment for each student, according to his/her needs and abilities </li><li>Prepare, in advance, appropriate lesson plans </li><li>Demonstrate knowledge and application of subject matter </li><li>Keep accurate records, tests, reports, etc., as required by Connecticut Statutes, Regulations, and Board Policy </li><li>Establish and maintain open communication with parents; establish and maintain good rapport with students, school personnel, and parents </li><li>Work with fellow teachers, head teachers, directors, administration, etc., in planning for instruction </li><li>Participate in staff development and in-service training </li><li>Establish and maintain a learning environment that is conducive to teaching and learning; plan and implement use of classroom time effectively </li><li>Implement School Board and school-based mission, goals, policies and procedures in order to uphold school regulations and meet student needs </li><li>Work collaboratively with guidance personnel and other special educators to assist students with special needs </li><li>Communicate curriculum and student-related information effectively in oral and written mode to students and parents </li><li>Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools </li></ul> <p>FTE: 0.6 FTE</p> <p>Salary & Benefits: In accordance with the current contract between the Board of Education and the Lebanon Education Association.</p> <p>Interested candidates should send the following:</p> <ul> <li>Completed application (Please find a copy on our website at https://www.applitrack.com/lebanonct/onlineapp/) </li><li>Letter of Interest </li><li>Resume </li><li>Copy of applicable certification(s) </li><li>3 current letters of recommendation </li><li>Transcripts </li></ul> <p>For more information, and to apply online, please visit:</p> <p>https://www.applitrack.com/lebanonct/onlineapp/</p>
