This engagement requires a seasoned UAT Lead to drive business-focused testing strategies that safeguard functionality and performance across complex enhancements. Acting as a bridge between program leadership, IT, business stakeholders, and strategic vendors, this consultant will design and execute comprehensive test plans, oversee testing teams, and ensure alignment with project objectives. By proactively managing risks, communicating defects, and maintaining transparency throughout the process, this engagement will help deliver robust, high-quality solutions that empower the global finance organization.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Test Strategy & Planning: Establish overall testing strategy, approach, and detailed test plans, including determining the necessary testing phases, resources, tools, and methods. Effectively face off with vendors to make sure systems/applications are fully tested against business requirements. </li><li>Execution & Coordination: Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of all business/user focused testing activities across the project lifecycle, making sure activities are finished effectively and efficiently. </li><li>Risk Management: Proactively monitor and manage test-related risks, issues, and dependencies. </li><li>Reporting & Communication: Create and maintain regular status reports on progress, defect metrics, and quality levels for stakeholders, developers, and management. </li><li>Stakeholder Management: Serve as the main point of contact and a bridge across the testing team, development teams, and key stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and managing expectations. </li><li>Resource management: Collaborate with business functions/leadership to identify and secure the necessary business resources required to successfully execute testing. </li><li>Oversee areas of scope across multiple overlapping complex projects in parallel over varying durations. Identify and flag risks as they happen and bring in any expertise not readily available. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree. </li><li>8+ years of work experience; 4+ years experience in testing and project management with an established track record of successful project delivery in a variety of technical areas. </li><li>Experience in managing UAT for large, complex software solutions. </li><li>Excellent understanding of testing and Quality Assurance processes. </li><li>Experience in a wide variety of testing efforts, techniques, and tools (Traditional, Risk Based). </li><li>Experience with project management software, defect tracking tools, and test management tools. </li><li>Experience in design of detailed test plans, and creation and execution of test scripts. </li><li>Sound knowledge of the software development lifecycle and methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile. </li><li>Excellent leadership and team-building skills. </li><li>Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deliver in a challenging, fast paced, rapidly changing environment. </li><li>Superb communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Ability to drive outcomes, manage risks, and understand business impacts. </li><li>Self-starter with the ability to work independently with excellent personal time management skills. </li><li>Excellent collaboration and issue resolution skills. </li><li>Proven experience developing and maintaining strong relationships across business and IT functions and with service/solution providers. </li><li>Ability to drive consensus within a team and influence outcomes. </li><li>Experience with Oracle EPM or other performance management platforms preferred. </li><li>Experience in leading testing for Finance/Accounting related system development projects preferred. </li><li>Past IT project management experience providing leadership, development and coaching to a high performing team preferred. </li><li>PMP certification preferred. </li></ul> <p>Compensation:</p> <p>$75 - $85 per hour - Dependent on fit and experience.</p>
