We understand the importance of maintaining an exciting culture for our employees and believe in creating an empowering professional environment with a sense of community and opportunity.</p> <p>What You Will Be Doing</p> <p>The National Director of Engineering will serve as a strategic leader responsible for the vision, execution, and evolution of engineering, technology infrastructure, and maintenance programs across The Facilities Group's national portfolio. This executive-level role blends technical oversight with business acumen to drive growth, efficiency, and safety in all engineering and maintenance operations.</p> <p>The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams, oversee critical capital projects, ensure regulatory compliance, and champion innovation in facility systems and technologies. This position plays a key role in aligning engineering efforts with enterprise business goals and supporting both operational performance and client satisfaction.</p> <p>National Director of Engineering Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Strategic Leadership & Growth</p> <ul> <li>Develop and execute a national engineering and technology strategy aligned with corporate growth objectives. </li><li>Partner with the executive team to support acquisitions, integrations, and facility expansions. </li><li>Evaluate and implement scalable technologies and automation systems to enhance service delivery and client outcomes. </li></ul> <p>Team Leadership & Development</p> <ul> <li>Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of engineers, facility technicians, and technology professionals. </li><li>Build a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. </li><li>Establish national standards, KPIs, and operating procedures to drive performance across regions. </li></ul> <p>Operational Excellence & Project Management</p> <ul> <li>Oversee execution of large-scale engineering and capital improvement projects; ensure alignment with timelines, budgets, and safety standards. </li><li>Manage vendor relationships and strategic partnerships to support service delivery. </li><li>Ensure operational uptime and reliability of critical building systems including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and automated controls. </li></ul> <p>Technology & Infrastructure Management</p> <ul> <li>Direct the design, implementation, and maintenance of all technical infrastructure (hardware, software, network systems). </li><li>Support the digitization of facility operations and the use of analytics, IoT, and CMMS platforms to improve visibility and efficiency. </li></ul> <p>Safety, Compliance & Risk Mitigation</p> <ul> <li>Champion a strong safety culture and ensure engineering activities meet OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulatory standards. </li><li>Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with facility systems and operational technology. </li></ul> <p>Sales & Business Development Support</p> <ul> <li>Serve as a technical subject matter expert during client pursuits, RFPs, and solution design phases. </li><li>Collaborate with business development teams to develop innovative, cost-effective engineering solutions. </li></ul> <p>National Director of Engineering Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related technical field (Master's preferred). </li><li>10+ years of progressive leadership experience in facilities services, engineering, or industrial technology. </li><li>Proven track record leading national or multi-site engineering teams. </li><li>Experience managing complex budgets and large-scale capital projects. </li><li>Deep knowledge of building systems, automation, energy management, and maintenance best practices. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to evaluate, implement, and scale emerging technologies in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. </li><li>Familiarity with relevant regulatory codes and industry standards (e.g., OSHA, ASHRAE, NFPA). </li></ul> <p>We use E-Verify to verify employment eligibility for team members.</p> <p>The Facilities Group and its Subsidiaries are committed to fostering, cultivating, and preserving a culture of diversity and inclusion.
