<p>Eliot is excited to participate in the transformation of community behavioral health programs and stands ready for the challenge. We are devoted to creating and supporting services that remove barriers to services in the community, rather than in emergency rooms and institutional settings.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Act as the prescriber for clients/families served by the team in the relevant service element including CBHC Teams, Urgent Care, YCCS, or CCS services. </li><li>Conduct comprehensive assessment and prescribe psychotropic medications and monitor therapeutic effectiveness and side effects of medications as appropriate. </li><li>Provide education to clients/families on all aspects of their medications or of their child's medications. Obtain informed consent. Order and monitor required lab work per protocol. </li><li>Provide medical assessment and monitoring (including lab monitoring as necessary) within the scope of practice, for clients having difficulty participating in routine medical care or monitoring of medical conditions with service element including CBHC Teams, Urgent Care, YCCS, or CCS services. </li><li>Provide education regarding conditions, symptoms, risks, complications, and benefits of treatment participation regarding medical conditions as indicated. </li><li>Provide education regarding conditions, symptoms, risks, complications, and benefits of treatment participation regarding medical conditions as indicated. </li><li>Order and monitor blood chemistry profiles as indicated. Provide education regarding conditions, symptoms, risks, complications, and benefits of treatment participation regarding medical conditions as indicated. </li><li>Participate in intakes, assessments, and referrals process where appropriate and relevant within CBHC Teams, Urgent Care, YCCS, or CCS services. </li><li>Support CBHC Teams, Urgent Care, YCCS, or CCS services in pursuit of services that are culturally competent, strengths based, recovery based, focused on rehabilitation and are inclusive of consumer preferences. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Holds a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited university/college and is currently licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing to practice as a licensed Nurse Practitioner and is registered to practice as a Nurse Practitioner from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. </li><li>Maintains a valid registration(s) to issue written oral prescriptions or medication orders for controlled substances from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and the United States Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration. Maintains current malpractice/liability insurance. </li><li>Experience in acute psychiatric care required. </li><li>Meets third party and Department of Public Health clinic regulations for reimbursability.
