<p>Job Purpose</p> <p>This position will be responsible for the overall inventory accuracy within the facility. Industry standard material control techniques including cycle counting, yearly physical inventory and parts audit prior to production deployment will be used to ensure acceptable levels of inventory accuracy are met at all times. This position will develop and maintain local processes and procedures, as well as adhere to corporate guidance, to ensure ongoing integrity of the inventory control systems.</p> <p>Company Description</p> <p>Progress Rail stands at the intersection of legacy and innovation-driving the future of rail with a pioneering spirit. At Progress Rail, the team is not just building the future of rail-they are making history every day.</p> <p>Education / Training</p> <ul> <li>University or College Degree (Business Management or Supply Chain Specialty preferred) preferred or equivalent materials experience required; </li><li>APICS Designation preferred. </li></ul> <p>Key Job Elements</p> <ul> <li>Ensure inventory accuracy through the completion of effective inventory control techniques including Internal Audits, Cycle Counts, and Physical Inventory; </li><li>Assist in the development of localized policies and procedures as related to the control of production inventory; </li><li>Work with Operations personnel to ensure a clear shared understanding of the importance of inventory accuracy; </li><li>Work with the Quality Department to ensure damaged product is accurately captured and removed from inventory; </li><li>Perform scheduled and unscheduled audits of production kits to ensure count integrity; </li><li>Perform scheduled cycle counts and participate in or coordinate yearly physical inventories. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications and Experience</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of materials processes in a low-volume, complex BOM environment; </li><li>Thorough knowledge of ERP systems (SAP strongly preferred); </li><li>Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities; </li><li>Ability to focus on complex tasks; </li><li>Continuous Improvement experience and Lean manufacturing focus. </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Inventory control experience in a heavy manufacturing environment; </li><li>Locomotive product knowledge; </li><li>Six Sigma trained; </li><li>Work background in low volume highly engineer product environment; </li><li>Trained in formal problem solving and continuous improvement methodologies. </li></ul> <p>EEO</p> <p>Progress Rail is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including Veterans and Individuals with Disabilities.</p> <p>Benefits</p> <p>Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance, and experience.
