<p>Description</p> <p>In Quality Assurance (QA), Team Leaders serve as a critical resource to associates and managers within Publix manufacturing facilities by being on-the-floor work participants with associates and covering for vacations and unplanned absences. This includes performing tasks and assuming specific responsibilities of the Department Manager in his/her absence, and planning and conducting job skill training for all associates. Team Leaders report to the Quality Assurance Department Manager.</p> <p>Additional Responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>HACCP Plan development, monitoring and data verification for all products and processes </li><li>maintain Food Safety and Quality Programs including SQF, allergens, SSOPs and other prerequisite programs </li><li>interaction with regulatory and external auditors (Florida Department of Agriculture, FDA, USDA and 3rd party auditors) which can include accompanying the auditor and corrective action plan follow up </li><li>interaction with plant management which includes assisting departments in researching quality-related issues </li><li>act as QA department point of contact in the absence of the QA manager </li><li>monitor and verify QA department responsibilities </li><li>effectively communicate food safety and quality programs using job instruction training techniques to QA as well as other department associates as needed </li><li>perform tasks in the work area (when necessary) which include: </li><li>being an on the work floor participant with production associates (when necessary) </li><li>cover for unplanned absences </li><li>schedule associate labor needs </li><li>promote and enforce associate quality and food safety standards </li><li>verify the maintenance of equipment, preventive maintenance and work orders </li><li>understand production and ability to execute department requirements </li><li>maintain Good Manufacturing Practices within the facility </li><li>be a role model for plant associates </li><li>track customer complaints, investigation and correspondence </li><li>lead and drive improvement of plant operations through continuous improvement projects </li><li>study and analyze KPI's and data and apply to departmental improvement </li><li>plan and respond to out of the ordinary events </li><li>other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <p>Your application may have additional steps that you will need to complete in order to remain eligible for consideration.
