Diagnose and treat pain as the result of neurological conditions, injury, illness and/or disabling condition such as amputations; perform prosthetic and orthotic evaluations, nerve conduction studies, EMG, trigger point injections, and ultrasound guided injections. Develop and manage treatment and prevention plans for patients, including routine consultations with Physician Hospitalists and other medical professionals, as necessary. Maintains supervisory duties over Nurse Practitioner. Minimum requirements: MD degree, 1 year of internship training in internal medicine and 3 years of residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Must be proficient with Cierra Summit Nerve Conduction and EMG equipment, and Ultrasound Machine. Must be eligible for South Carolina medical license and eligible for Board Certification in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Foreign educational equivalency acceptable.
