<p>Apply</p> <p>Job Type</p> <p>Full-time</p> <p>Description</p> <p>SUMMARY DESCRIPTION</p> <p>The Loan Originator Team Lead is responsible for assisting the management team in all aspects of shift management to ensure that each member has an outstanding experience. This individual will train, coach and oversee the daily work of loan originators to ensure the department is effectively working the loan pipeline to meet assigned production and service level goals. This position assists in the daily oversight of the loan originations team to balance team workload and help with member service issues, while also managing their own pipeline.</p> <p>CORE COMPETENCIES</p> <ul> <li>Highly motivated, with a positive, outgoing personality. </li><li>Strong focus on sales, member service to ensure the Credit Union maximizes lending and sales opportunities to enhance quality and depth of member relationship and profitability. </li><li>Results oriented. </li><li>Knowledgeable in the lending process from application to closing </li><li>Familiar with all Credit Union products and services and is able to effectively offer appropriate solutions to each member's unique situation. </li><li>Able to transition seamlessly through various applications and be proficient with sales and loan interviewing techniques. </li><li>Ability to use technology to efficiently perform job functions. </li><li>Fosters a spirit of cooperation to ensure the success of the team. Displays flexibility regarding scheduling. Ability to work flexible hours as needed, which may include occasional Saturdays. </li></ul> <p>JOB RESPONSIBILTIES</p> <ul> <li>Provides loan production support and training to support the activities of the consumer loan origination team and meet assigned group production goals. </li><li>Responsible for meeting individual assigned production goals. </li><li>Directs daily activities of the team to ensure timely follow-up of loan leads. </li><li>Maintains a positive working relationship and treats all team members with respect while providing them with direction and feedback. </li><li>Serves as an escalation point for sensitive member issues and works with Lending Solutions Manager to resolve them in a positive and timely manner. </li><li>Actively look for lending opportunities to further assist the member as well as increase loan volume, new accounts, ancillary products and services. </li><li>Work cohesively with Lending management to improve the lending process and enhance the Member experience </li><li>Recommends and assists the Lending Solutions Manager with implementation of sales initiatives, processes or automation. </li><li>Participate in business development and community opportunities, which may involve travel and off business hours. </li><li>Act as liaison between Members and loan processors" to make the closing timely and efficient </li><li>Meet or exceed established loan and service goals. </li><li>Adhere to all mortgage & consumer lending regulation and credit union loan and member privacy policies. </li><li>Meet all credit union sales and compliance training requirements. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE SKILL AND ABILITY</p> <ul> <li>Credit Reporting/Scoring. </li><li>Personal finance. </li><li>Critical thinking/analytical skills. </li><li>Ability to prioritize tasks and goals. </li><li>Displays self-confidence and self-motivation. </li><li>Uses sound judgment and makes good business decisions. </li><li>Ability to see the 'big picture' of member retention and organizational growth. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAINING</p> <p>Associate's degree or equivalent training/work experience preferred. Strong knowledge of the processing of real estate and consumer loans. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.</p> <p>EXPERIENCE</p> <p>Minimum of 3+ years in the financial service industry, with a proven track record of successful loan production.</p> <p>WORKING ENVIRONMENT</p> <p>The physical demand described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
