<p>Instawork is on a mission to create meaningful economic opportunities for skilled hourly professionals in communities around the globe. This is not an admin role. You'll build production systems that process real revenue - pricing governance workflows, real-time integrations between Salesforce and our product backend, contract lifecycle automation, and the analytical infrastructure that surfaces strategic insights to sales leadership.</p> <p>You'll report to Revenue Operations leadership and work alongside GTM Engineers, GTM Ops and Analytics, and cross-functional partners in Sales, Finance, Product Engineering, and Data Engineering. Sales leaders will come to you with architectural problems. You'll be expected to translate those into system designs, ship them, and own the outcome.</p> <p>Who You Are:</p> <ul> <li>4+ years building on the Salesforce platform - Apex, Flows, custom objects, permission architecture. You've built complex systems, not just configured them. </li><li>AI-first development approach. Our team builds with Cursor, agent workflows, and LLM-assisted tools as a default. You should have hands-on experience using AI tools to write, debug, and ship code </li><li>SQL fluency. You'll query the data warehouse directly to build strategic analysis, validate data pipelines, and trace revenue to its source. </li><li>Experience designing API integrations. REST callouts, webhook patterns, auth flows, retry/error handling. You've written integration specs, not just consumed endpoints. </li><li>Ability to communicate technical problems to non-technical audiences. You'll find things that are broken and will need to present them directly to senior stakeholders with specifics and recommendations. </li><li>Experience operating production systems under pressure. You've shipped on a system with real money flowing through it and triaged live issues while continuing to build. </li><li>Experience with Hightouch, LeanData, or similar reverse ETL / lead routing tools </li></ul> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Build and extend revenue-critical systems. Own a mature Salesforce platform spanning custom Apex classes, Lightning Web Components, and Flows. Design data models, write business logic, build frontend experiences, and deploy to production. </li><li>Design and own cross-system integrations. Author integration specs between Salesforce and internal systems (product backend, CLM, reverse ETL) that other engineering teams build against. Own real-time writeback architecture - entity resolution, region mapping, auth, retry logic, and self-healing error recovery. Also own the technical configuration of the GTM tool stack - LeanData routing, Outreach sequences, ZoomInfo data flows, and Clay enrichment workflows. </li><li>Own production launches and operate under pressure. Ship new capabilities while simultaneously triaging live issues. Write structured stakeholder dispatches. Manage the full lifecycle from architecture to launch to post-launch hardening. </li><li>Own commercial governance infrastructure. Maintain and extend the Deal Desk system: multi-tier approval routing, configurable auto-approval via custom metadata, MSA contract coverage monitoring, SLA escalation, pricing floor enforcement, and Slack notification infrastructure. </li></ul> <p>Nice to Have:</p> <ul> <li>Working familiarity with JavaScript and Lightning Web Components. </li><li>Experience with contract lifecycle management (Ironclad or similar) </li><li>Python scripting for data operations and one-off analysis </li><li>Familiarity with dbt, Snowflake/Redshift data warehouses </li><li>Experience with Slack API integrations (bot identity, threading, @mention resolution) </li><li>Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar) </li></ul> <p>For CA-based applicants:</p> <ul> <li>The base salary for this position is $170,000 - $200,000 </li><li>This position is eligible for equity in the form of stock options </li><li>This position is eligible for Instawork benefits, including: </li><li>Variety of medical, dental, and vision plans with coverage beginning on the date of hire </li><li>Flexible paid time off </li><li>At least 8 paid company holidays annually </li><li>Phone stipend </li><li>Commuter stipend </li><li>Supplemental pay on qualified leaves </li><li>Employee health savings accounts (HSA) contribution </li><li>Flexible spending plans </li><li>401K plan </li><li>Perkspot - discount program through Lumity </li></ul> <p>A variety of factors are considered when determining someone's compensation including a candidate's professional background, experience, and location.
