The ideal candidate will build excitement for school based programs and school initiatives. The sports and cooperative plan specialist is interested in building a unique program that not only teaches students about sports but creates opportunities for teamwork that demonstrate the CLCS CREW qualities.</p> <p>Physical Education Teacher:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Organize and lead daily physical activity for students, grades Pre-K-8</p> </li><li> <p>Plan lessons and activities that promote familiarity with various sports and basic skills to participate in organized games</p> </li><li> <p>Lead cooperative play to promote team building</p> </li><li> <p>Provide consistent motivation, enthusiasm, and role modeling for healthy lifestyle choices</p> </li><li> <p>Document student activities, participation, and services provided</p> </li><li> <p>Lead wellness initiatives to promote physical activity and nutrition</p> </li><li> <p>Utilize CLCS "CREW qualities" during cooperative play activities</p> </li><li> <p>Support academic instruction by working collaboratively within the classroom with content teachers</p> </li><li> <p>Support Crew with group of middle school students to promote social development, goal setting and reflection</p> </li><li> <p>Supervise students during arrival, dismissal, transitions, lunch and recess</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with special projects and events</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other duties as assigned</p> </li></ul> <p>Athletics Coordinator</p> <ul> <li> <p>Manage all sports equipment inventories.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate gyms, and athletic field use for student athletic events.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate gym and field use for practices and games.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate with coaches to schedule applicable athletic events.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate with the league, applicable vendors and leadership to make sure all requirements are met.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare a master sports calendar that includes conference and non-conference games/events</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate with the leadership team to schedule all offsite athletic events and necessary transportation</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of curriculum development and program evaluation, child growth and development, and effective instructional strategies</p> </li><li> <p>Support the hiring of coaching staff, coordinating with Human Resources and school administration.</p> </li><li> <p>Observe and evaluate all coaches, holding them accountable for following all league, district, city, state regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate collection of rosters for program information as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Attend at-home athletic events</p> </li><li> <p>Evaluate all athletic programs on an annual basis, making recommendations for improvement to the COO and Principal</p> </li><li> <p>Meet with, orient, and provide in-service training for all coaches within 3 weeks prior to the sports season and hold an evaluation conference with all coaches within 3 weeks after the conclusion of their sport season</p> </li><li> <p>Manage the resolution of problems, issues, and concerns that may arise between coaches and athletic programs</p> </li><li> <p>Provide a channel through which students and the community may express their concerns about the athletic program or coach</p> </li><li> <p>Distribute CLCS materials and enforce CLCS rules and regulations, including player eligibility</p> </li><li> <p>Collect, file, and notify athletes and coaches regarding student eligibility as it pertains to cit, state, and district requirements and athletic codes of conduct</p> </li><li> <p>Collect and maintain on file, properly completed and current physical exam card for every student participating in athletics</p> </li><li> <p>Distribute and maintain on file athletic training rules and codes of conduct signed by students participating in athletics</p> </li><li> <p>Administer the school athletic code in a fair and consistent manner within the intent of the code and the missions of CLCS</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure District adherence to all city, state, and district policies, administrative rules, procedures and codes relating to participation in athletics</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate ordering of uniforms, and other awards</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate postseason awards ceremonies</p> </li><li> <p>Attend athletic conference meetings</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualification, Skills and Knowledge Requirements</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years experience implementing physical activities and coaching in school-based, after-school, and/or community-based settings</p> </li><li> <p>Comfortable working in various urban settings and with diverse populations</p> </li><li> <p>Team-oriented with strong organizational and collaborative skills</p> </li><li> <p>Adapts well to changes in assignment and priorities with the ability to respond effectively to new information, changing conditions, and unexpected obstacles</p> </li><li> <p>Available for after-school activities</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent communication skills, both oral and written</p> </li><li> <p>Willingness to model standards of nutrition and activity and personally demonstrating the caliber of performance and behavior that is
