<p>Position Function</p> <p>The Regional EHS Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs for our ASD manufacturing business. This position is based at our Pensacola facility and reports directly to the OHD Corporate EHS Director. The role will support ASD Manufacturing locations in Pensacola, FL, Centralia, WA, and Grand Island, NE. This position requires interaction with all levels of our organization as well as general contractors. A strong understanding of OSHA and EPA regulations is essential, as the role involves working closely with all stakeholders to identify and implement effective EHS solutions. This is a highly collaborative position that demands excellent communication and teamwork skills.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>The Regional EHS Manager is responsible for the implementation, and management of all EHS policies, procedures, and activities in accordance with all local, state, federal (OSHA, EPA, etc.), and OHD requirements to ensure regulatory compliance. </li><li>Drive EHS culture and engagement-building initiatives. </li><li>Proactively develop and administer health and safety procedures and programs while monitoring compliance to reduce risks. </li><li>Proactively identify risks through facility hazard assessments, safety audits and routine inspections. </li><li>Work with facility management and team members to develop solutions to mitigate identified hazards and risks. </li><li>Work with OHD Corporate EHS Director to update OHD safety programs and documents as needed to ensure programs are revised annually and stay in compliance. </li><li>Work with Human Resources to track Safety training. </li><li>Serve as the primary EHS technical, regulatory, and management resource for identified areas of responsibility. </li><li>Prepare environmental regulatory reports for facility review and submittal (utilizing data supplied by the facility). Includes, but is not limited to, TRI, tier II, form R and quarterly reports. </li><li>Manage SWPPP and SPCC programs. </li><li>Lead audits and inspections to proactively identify EHS issues and assist in the development of solutions or alternative processes. </li><li>Effectively manage incident investigations through our incident management platform. </li><li>Utilize facility inspection process to ensure regulatory compliance. </li><li>Build and maintain awareness of developing EHS issues and adoption of best practices through benchmarking internally and externally. </li><li>Represent the Organization's interests when meeting with representatives of OSHA during formal inspections of facilities and assist in implementing corrective actions and follow up with OSHA or other such agencies. </li><li>Oversee and direct the maintenance of the Emergency Action Plan, and other operating plant contingency plans including fire prevention and procedures for controlling hazardous spills, in accordance with government regulations and insurance company requirements. </li><li>Oversee maintenance of a complete and accurate SDS file for ready access. </li><li>Coordinate and direct the first responder team in providing First Aid training as needed. </li><li>Ensure maintenance of environmental records of hazardous waste, air emission permitting, and water pollution discharge, as well as industrial health monitoring and records of employee hazard exposure according to OSHA regulations. </li><li>Oversee and direct safety committees to ensure minutes of meetings are maintained and disseminated to appropriate parties, and that needed corrective/preventative actions are implemented. </li><li>Identify and manage personal protective equipment needs for the site, as well as evaluate the effectiveness and functionality of required PPE. </li><li>Serve as the liaison to the corporate EHS Director for all environmental, health, and safety issues. </li><li>Drive MOC process by performing safety validations of all new and/or modified equipment and/or processes. </li><li>Attends Operations Team meetings to be aware of ongoing and upcoming items that may need to be addressed and keep the operations leadership team informed of the status of all EHS open action items. </li><li>Assist Human Resources personnel in the management of workers' compensation cases and return-to-work program for injured team members. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 8 years of progressive EHS experience in a heavy manufacturing environment. </li><li>Experience in conducting thorough root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. </li><li>Experience in Behavior Based Safety Programs. </li><li>Experience developing procedures, training programs, and metric reports. </li><li>Expert-level knowledge of federal and state regulations including OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and state and local regulatory requirements. </li><li>Demonstrated experience investigating and managing injuries, claims, and procedures. </li><li>Experience managing third-party incident management platforms. </li><li>Strong leadership skills. </li><li>Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. </li><li>Self-motivator </li><li>Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and third-party systems. </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>BS in Health and Safety, Environmental, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but relevant and extensive experience may substitute. </li><li>Certified Safety Professional or other relevant credentials are preferred, but relevant and extensive experience may substitute. </li></ul> <p>Travel:</p> <ul> <li>25% travel is required. </li></ul>
