You are eligible for a Short-Term Incentive with the target at 5% of your annual earnings; terms and conditions apply.</p> <p>Laboratory Associate I - Monday-Friday, 12:00pm-8:30pm PT</p> <p>The Laboratory Associate is responsible for following all standard operating procedures of the laboratory and adhering to all quality regulations. Additionally, the Laboratory Associate may be assigned duties by the Lab Manager, Lab Supervisor, and other Clinical Laboratory Operations Leadership for the advancement or maintenance of the laboratory. Additionally, the Laboratory Associate is responsible for laboratory functions that do not directly involve the manipulation of patient samples or products generated from patient samples.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Follow all procedures and protocols pertaining to supporting Clinical Laboratory Scientists (CLS) in patient sample processing, pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical testing </li><li>Any general laboratory system support that does not directly involve the manipulation of patient samples or products generated from patient samples. </li><li>Adhere to all Quality regulations (CAP, CLIA & New York State) and ensure all training and competency forms are complete. </li><li>Maintain laboratory safety by ensuring work area is safe and clean prior to work and after work and noting hazardous problems for prompt and proper repair. </li><li>Assist in pulling and filing primers, reagents and samples for trainees and CLS techs without manipulating the samples or compromising their integrity. </li><li>Assisting with any clerical duties that may be assigned by Lab Management. </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors (B.S.) or higher, licenses, and/or registrations that are required for the position </li><li>Technical knowledge of laboratory testing and terminology is desirable. </li><li>Ability to read and interpret documents and Ambry requisitions, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. </li><li>Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
