We seek differences of opinion, life experience and perspective to represent the diversity of our policyholders and achieve the best possible outcomes.</p> <p>This role is hybrid, requiring days on our Lincoln, RI corporate campus</p> <p>This role does not currently offer employment visa sponsorship.</p> <p>Job Overview:</p> <p>Under general supervision, the User Experience Designer works collaboratively with various business stakeholders and IT staff using a variety of graphics software applications, techniques, and tools to offer web design solutions to support the organization's strategies and goals relative to the external communications. Works closely with business peers to understand project requirements and create web design solutions that enhance the online user experience and meet our customers' needs.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for design deliverables and ensuring that they adhere to corporate style and branding guidelines. </li><li>Lead design efforts of small and medium size and complexity. </li><li>Research emerging web-based technologies and trends, including user interface design and usability research best practices. Monitor both Amica's and our competitors' online activities to suggest enhancements and use data to inform design choices. </li><li>Provides effective, proactive and professional communications, escalating issues appropriately. </li><li>Assist in mentoring and providing guidance and direction to design team members, which may include task assignment and oversight of the design team's work product. </li><li>Provide input into team deliverables, ensuring the highest standards of quality are displayed. </li><li>Contribute to emerging design team processes and deliverables including developing site user experience standards. </li><li>Develop and maintain excellent relationships with colleagues, vendors, business stakeholders and CIS project personnel. </li><li>Investigate users' interaction with the current application, which may include facilitating usability studies. </li><li>Perform various projects and duties as assigned by management. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in tools associated with web design work </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to develop and foster business relationships </li><li>Highly organized and detail oriented with ability to quickly organize and manage multiple efforts </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Working knowledge and understanding of user-centered design concepts and best practices </li><li>Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years experience or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job </li></ul> <p>Total Rewards:</p> <ul> <li>Medical, dental, vision coverage, short- and long-term disability, and life insurance </li><li>Paid Vacation - you will receive at least 13 vacation days in the first 12 months, amounts could be greater depending on the role.
