We value professionals who are dedicated to ensuring a well-maintained and supportive environment.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Maintenance Worker performs a variety of skilled maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality and safety of facilities. This role involves completing work orders, maintaining tools and equipment, and supporting other maintenance staff.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Maintenance Services: Perform skilled maintenance tasks including carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work. </li><li>Installation & Repairs: Install and repair materials and systems such as carpet, tile, roofing, cabinetry, drywall, and electrical systems. </li><li>Tool & Equipment Management: Maintain and manage tools, vehicles, and equipment to ensure their availability and safe operation. </li><li>Project Oversight: Oversee outside contractors to ensure projects are completed on time and according to specifications. </li><li>Documentation: Prepare and maintain written materials such as repair status reports and activity logs. </li><li>Routine Maintenance: Conduct routine and preventive maintenance to ensure facilities remain operational. </li><li>Problem Solving: Analyze blueprints, schematics, and drawings, estimate labor and materials, and fabricate parts as needed. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Education: High school diploma or equivalent; specialized training in maintenance trades preferred. </li><li>Experience: Relevant job experience in a specialized maintenance field is required. </li></ul> <p>Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical trades. </li><li>Skilled in using hand and power tools, operating various equipment, and driving motor vehicles. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge:</p> <ul> <li>Methods, practices, and tools used in various trades. </li><li>Health and safety regulations, and maintenance requirements for facilities. </li></ul> <p>Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to follow directions, work independently, and solve problems. </li><li>Capability to work with diverse individuals and maintain effective working relationships. </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <p>FHSD offers a competitive benefits package for eligible employees, including:</p> <ul> <li>Medical and dental plan options </li><li>Vision coverage </li><li>Employee Assistance Program (EAP) </li><li>District-paid basic life insurance </li><li>District-paid Short Term Disability </li><li>Paid holidays and vacation </li></ul> <p>Family coverage, long-term disability, and additional life insurance options are available at the employee's expense.</p> <p>Physical Demands</p> <ul> <li>Frequent: Climbing, balancing, and fine motor skills. </li><li>Occasional: Walking and standing. </li><li>Significant: Lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment: The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and may involve exposure to risk of injury or illness.</p> <p>We look forward to receiving your application and potentially welcoming you to the FHSD team!</p>
