<p>JOB TITLE: 3rd Grade Teacher</p> <p>LOCATION: South Grove Elementary</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Building Principal</p> <p>EMPLOYMENT AND FLSA STATUS: Certified/Exempt/Salary</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Must Hold a Valid Indiana Teaching License or Be Working Toward Licensure </li><li>Creative and enthusiastic </li><li>Well organized and committed to student achievement </li><li>Effective communication skills </li><li>General knowledge of technology integration </li><li>Committed to professional growth and continued development </li></ul> <p>JOB GOAL:</p> <p>To work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and families in order to promote the educational, social, emotional, and physical development and achievement of students.</p> <p>PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Classroom teacher responsibilities differentiated for high ability and at-risk learners including, but not limited to: lesson planning, curriculum development, instruction, maintaining grades, developing relationships with students, and communicating with parents. </li><li>Implement PBIS, Calm Classroom techniques and Community Circles with fidelity. </li><li>Collect and analyze individual and program-wide student data. </li><li>Collaborate with colleagues through weekly professional development activities in assessing, selecting, and implementing effective research-based student strategies. </li><li>Other duties related to meeting the needs of students, as assigned. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Seldom = Less than 25 % 2. Occasional = 26 to 50 %</p> </li><li> <p>Often = 51 to 75 % 4. Very Frequent = 76 % & above</p> </li></ol> <ul> <li>Ability to stand for extended periods of time. (4) </li><li>Ability to lift 25 lbs. (1) </li><li>Ability to carry 25 lbs.(2) </li><li>Ability to work at a desk, conference table or in meetings of various configurations. (4) </li><li>Ability to see for the purpose of reading laws and codes, rules and policies and other printed matter. (4) </li><li>Ability to hear and understand speech at normal levels. (4) </li><li>Ability to communicate so others will be able to clearly understand a normal conversation. (4) </li><li>Ability to operate office equipment. (4) </li><li>Ability to reach in all directions.
