<p>Job Description:</p> <p>The SUNY Cobleskill Paramedic Program is accepting applications for the position of Certified Instructor Coordinator. This employee may be assigned to any EMS teaching responsibilities, but will be initially assigned as the CIC primarily responsible for teaching the New York State and/or National EMS Educational Standards in our New York State EMT courses. Schedule will be dictated by student and program needs however it projects to be Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Additionally, the employee will staff one of our weekly paramedic lab instructor spots during Thursday days. The employee will also have light administrative responsibilities in association with the course and NYS EMS certification process.</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Excellent written and oral communication skills. </li><li>Proficiency in MS Office. </li><li>Minimum of 3 years actively providing care as a paramedic. </li><li>Minimum of 3 years of EMS teaching experience. </li><li>Current New York State Bureau of EMS Paramedic certification. </li><li>Current New York State Bureau of EMS Certified Instructor Coordinator or NAEMSE Instructor Course. </li><li>Candidate must be a practicing paramedic provider within six months of hire and maintain active practice throughout employment. </li><li>Current American Heart Association Provider certifications in the following courses and instructor certifications within 12 months of hire. </li><li>Basic Cardiac Life Support </li><li>Advanced Cardiac Life Support </li><li>Pediatric Advanced Life Support </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>In addition to the aforementioned minimum qualifications, it is preferred the candidate also have:</p> <ul> <li>Experienced high-fidelity mannequin operator. </li><li>Experienced NYS & NREMT Practical Skills Exam Coordinator. </li><li>Experience utilizing online learning adjuncts. </li><li>NAEMT Advanced Medical Life Support Instructor certification. </li><li>AHA Regional Faculty member. </li><li>EMS Textbook Author/editor/reviewer. </li><li>Current New York State Bureau of EMS Regional Faculty Member. </li><li>Associate's, Bachelor's, Masters or Doctoral Degree. </li><li>Nationally Registered Paramedic with NREMT. </li><li>NAEMT PreHospital Trauma Life Support Instructor certification. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <ul> <li>The salary range for this position is $53,960. </li><li>This is a term 10-month position. </li><li>This position offers full New York State benefits which are some of the most comprehensive in the country. </li><li>SUNY Cobleskill is committed to providing a safe and productive learning and living community for our students and employees.
