<p>Description</p> <p>Job Overview:</p> <p>Responsible for the leadership and oversight of the Financial reporting team to which you are assigned and ensuring that financial statements are provided timely and accurately for the properties assigned to your team. The Manager of External Financial Reporting is responsible for developing and guiding their financial reporting team, providing recommendations on processes and procedures for the financial reporting department and enforcement of department policies and procedures.</p> <p>Your Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Oversee the daily functions of a team while maintaining company standards by demonstrating our company values. Work with Client Accounting Leadership in the development of the department goals. Ensure that the goals and needs of the department, company and its customers are consistently met. </li><li>Ensure deadlines are achieved in a timely manner by prioritizing and delegating workload as necessary. </li><li>Oversee the processes associated with financial reporting, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities for clients. </li><li>Make independent decisions based on conclusions where there is little precedent. </li><li>Collaborate with Financial Reporting leadership in the development and implementation of best practices and processes. </li><li>Provide guidance and support to the assigned financial reporting supervisors in the daily functions of their teams in complex situations to maintain the standards of excellence for processes, methods and personnel. </li><li>Collaborate with necessary stakeholders to ensure clients' needs are satisfied by providing solutions to ensure client retention. </li><li>Maintain awareness of changes in rules, statutes or regulations and communicate changes to staff. Direct training of staff when new procedures are required to comply with changes. </li><li>Direct management of staff, such as new hires, promotions, transfers, terminations, or disciplinary measures. Manage the Performance Evaluation process of assigned team and provide leadership, counseling and coaching to employees. Maintain harmonious employee/employer relations. </li><li>Identify possible issues, inconsistencies and suggest appropriate corrective procedures. </li><li>Participate in the implementations, testing, and troubleshooting of accounting systems. </li><li>Assist Executive Leadership with related projects, presentations, reports or assignments as requested. </li></ul> <p>Skills and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance from an accredited college or university, and seven years of related experience. Must have a minimum of three years supervisory experience and three years of client relations experience. </li><li>Strong organizational, management and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Critical thinking, complex problem solving, judgment and decision-making ability. </li><li>Must be able to obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure. </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Strong working knowledge of customer service principles and practices. </li><li>Must have a strong work ethic and be detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking skills. </li><li>Must have strong proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. </li><li>Strong presentation skills. </li><li>Ability to work with sensitive or confidential information. </li><li>Ability to meet short deadlines and work well under pressure. </li><li>Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently. Must be self-driven with the ability to identify, plan and prioritize business opportunities. </li></ul> <p>What We Offer:</p> <p>As a full-time associate, you will be eligible for full comprehensive benefits to include your choice of multiple medical plans, dental, and vision.
