This position requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Operate the boat forklift to safely and efficiently lift and move boats to and from the water, dry storage buildings, and boat racks. </li><li>Ensure the proper and secure placement of boats to prevent damage during handling and storage. </li><li>Perform boat launching and retrieval with precision and safety as per customer requests and marina policies. </li><li>Maintain the dry storage buildings in a clean and organized condition. </li><li>Assist in the stacking and positioning of boats in dry storage, optimizing space usage. </li><li>Conduct routine inspections of dry storage racks and facilities to identify and report any maintenance or repair needs. </li><li>Collaborate with boat cleaning and maintenance teams to ensure boats are washed and motors are flushed after each use. </li><li>Assist in the cleaning and basic maintenance tasks such as checking fluids, cleaning, and minor repairs when necessary. </li><li>Report any major maintenance or repair issues to the relevant department. </li><li>Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols during boat handling and storage operations. </li><li>Stay informed about environmental and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws. </li><li>Provide courteous and professional assistance to customers and boaters. </li><li>Assist customers with boat launching, retrieval, and answering inquiries regarding boat care and storage. </li><li>Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of the boat forklift and related equipment. </li><li>Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to the maintenance team promptly. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Prior experience as a boat forklift operator or similar heavy equipment operation is preferred. </li><li>Possession of a valid forklift operator's license and a boater's safety certification. </li><li>Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and customers. </li><li>Physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry heavy objects. </li><li>Attention to detail and a commitment to safety. </li><li>Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays when necessary. </li></ul> <p>Benefits: R+L Carriers offers an excellent compensation and comprehensive benefits package that includes Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance, 401(k) Retirement Plan with company matching contributions, Paid Vacation & Holidays, and vacation lodging at our exclusive employee resorts in Daytona Beach, FL, Big Bear Lake, CA, Pigeon Forge, TN, and Ocean Isle Beach, NC.</p> <p>About Us: R+L Carriers is a family owned, privately held transportation company founded in 1965.
