<p>SUMMARY</p> <p>We are currently seeking a Staff Nurse to join our Comprehensive Weight Management Clinic.</p> <p>This part-time position (0.8 FTE) will work 64 hours per pay period (8 hour day shifts during the work week).</p> <ul> <li>This position is currently Monday-Friday day hours but may expand to include evenings and weekends as we grow. </li></ul> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Relationship-Based Care practice model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by:</p> <ul> <li>Protecting, promoting wellness and optimizing health </li><li>Triaging patients by assessing severity of symptoms and referral to appropriate setting or level of care </li><li>Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response </li><li>Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others </li><li>Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care </li><li>Educating patient on their disease process </li><li>Assuring continuity of care </li><li>Educating patient and family in preventative care which promotes health and well being </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Graduation from an accredited school of nursing </li><li>Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Certification in area of clinical specialty </li><li>BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged. Advancement in academic education will be discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review. </li></ul>
