<p>Fundraising and Marketing VISTA Leader - Step Up Savannah</p> <p>Step Up Savannah promotes economic opportunity and financial security in Chatham County, Georgia. The goal of the Fundraising and Marketing VISTA Leader position is to build capacity for Step Up Savannah through increasing fundraising efforts, story collection and promotion, creating support services and opportunities for VISTA members, and research. Since our inception in 2005, Step Up Savannah has provided thousands of low-income individuals across the Savannah/Chatham County area with resources and services to help them achieve financial stability. We believe that Savannah is a community where all people have hope and opportunity, where we challenge injustice, and where all community members step up to reduce poverty. Step Up Savannah is located in downtown Savannah, Georgia, which is known for its rich history, architecture, and tourist attractions. However, in some neighborhoods outside of the central downtown Savannah area, poverty is as high as 50%. The Fundraising and Marketing VISTA Leader will build capacity for Step Up Savannah to serve more people in our low-wealth community. We are seeking an outgoing and self-motivated individual to assist us in our effort to reduce poverty. Ideal candidates will have communication and marketing skills and be open and flexible to working on new projects. In addition to these skills, VISTA Leader eligibility is also determined on prior service history with AmeriCorps or Peace Corps. Further help on this page can be found by clicking here.</p> <p>Member Duties : Activities of the Fundraising and Marketing VISTA Leader include the following: <em>Implement agency fundraising campaigns via online and in-person events. </em> Strengthen existing communications strategies via social media, email, and outreach events. <em>Coordinate interviews and story collection of VISTA members and agency program clients. </em>Research similar agencies and collect data related to poverty. *Develop eye-catching graphic designs for online distribution. In addition to the activities listed above, the VISTA Leader will sustain Step Up's VISTA program by assisting with recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding of VISTA members at partnering agencies.
