<p>Full-time, 40 hours/week</p> <p>Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm</p> <p>Onsite- dental clinic</p> <p>Summary:</p> <p>The Surgery Scheduler coordinates process to schedule surgical and other procedures in operating room, physician office, sedation, and other hospital units.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Coordinates process to schedule surgical and other procedures in operating room, physician office, sedation, and other hospital units.</p> </li><li> <p>Manages physician schedules to support efficient practice operations.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicates effectively via personal contact, phone and in writing with patients/ families, physicians, hospital staff, community professionals, insurance companies, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Efficiently and accurately uses computer for generation of reports, letters, forms and other communications/documents.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides administrative support for clinic and educational activities of physicians, nurses or other support staff as directed.</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as required.</p> </li></ol> <p>Other information:</p> <p>Technical Expertise</p> <ol> <li> <p>Experience in surgery scheduling is preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with and knowledge of CPT coding, ICD-9 terminology is preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be detailed oriented with the ability to make decisions and work in a fast-paced environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working with various levels within an organization is required.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be compassionate towards families experiencing stressful conditions.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in healthcare is preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software is required.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working in an electronic medical record system (i.e. EPIC) is preferred.</p> </li></ol> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ol> <li> <p>Education: High School diploma is required.</p> </li><li> <p>Certification: None.</p> </li><li> <p>Years of relevant experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a clinical/medical environment is preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Years of experience supervising: None.</p> </li></ol> <p>Full Time</p> <p>FTE: 1.000000</p> <p>Status: Onsite</p>
