The Dispatcher will be responsible for the daily dispatch of all routes and drivers. The successful candidate for this position needs to be able to adjust to last minute changes and work with drivers to schedule emergency delivery or pick-up for new or established customers when necessary.</p> <p>Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday @ 6:00 AM</p> <p>Compensation: $19.50/hour</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Monitor and adjust daily routes and make changes due to weights, cube, or customer issues, must work with Management to establish new routes in a timely manner. </li><li>Develop daily dispatch board and communicate with drivers as needed throughout the day. Help with Driver check-in </li><li>Collaborate with management to modify daily routes to accommodate the needs of customers. </li><li>Work with Truck Stagers to insure correct trucks are staged. </li><li>Act as a communication liaison between drivers and management to resolve delivery or customer issues and answer incoming phone calls from drivers on the road as needed. </li><li>Communicate with out service vendors Penske and Miller for Truck Servicing. </li><li>Cultivate strong relationships with drivers and customers to reduce the stress that comes with last minute schedule changes. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma/GED required </li><li>Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes occasional evenings, weekends and holidays. </li><li>Strong knowledge of the roadways throughout company delivery area. </li><li>Ability to work in a team environment in high pressure situations. </li><li>Strong written and oral communication skills are essential. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel. </li><li>Proficient in Map Point. </li><li>Ability to learn AFS. </li><li>Ability to be pallet jack certified. </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Complete medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and accident insurances starting the first of the month following 60-days of employment. </li><li>401(k) after 6 months with 2% employer match. </li><li>Paid Time Off (PTO); starting at 80 hours your first year. </li><li>Paid Holidays </li><li>Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and other mental health benefits are available! </li><li>Ability to purchase products from the warehouse at wholesale price. </li></ul>
